Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Idaho.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“It was the first time I've ever been to this place. They had horse and buggy rides, that were from Champs heart. There was also a spot here where you could jump on these giant balloons which were a lot of fun as well quite, the workout if you're into it. There was a snack bar, and a small hay bale maze and there's a train on wheels that takes you for a ride as well as the horse and Buggies. I know that there are pumpkins here and I'm pretty sure I saw the pumpkin field but on this day we did not get any pumpkins. But from what I could see there's some really big ones out there LOL.It was really nice although it was extremely crowded, but was very enjoyable. Great family fun. Very wholesome atmosphere. The person I was with in a wheelchair,it was hard to get around but still worth it I think .”

“My kids had so much fun here! My son's favorite thing was jumping on the bounce pads and getting candy from the candy canon. We also did the corn pit, ride the train, pet the kittens, looked at pumpkins, and fed the chickens. There is a wide variety of pumpkins and they are a pretty good price, 5 for $30. They also have some giant pumpkins. You can go look at the pumpkins for free, if you want to do other activities, you need to buy a wristband. Things like the pumpkin canons are extra. They have a new spot for the kittens and they only let a few people in at a time to play with them. They seem to be happy and healthy.”

“We absolutely love U Pick RedBarn! We've been visiting since 2018, and every year there are more delightful activities to enjoy. This year was especially fun! Every time we visit for the pumpkin patch, we find high-quality pumpkins perfect for carving Halloween decorations and making delicious, hearty pumpkin soup. Driving by in the evening, the lights are so beautiful that just passing through makes me feel Delighted. 🎆We're so grateful to have such an amazing place to enjoy right here in our town. 🎃”

“Upick is a great fall family tradition. They have a great selection of activities to do with your family. Train rides, bounce house, pumpkin cannon, train rides, and the best selection of pumpkins in Idaho Falls. The prices are reasonable. They also expanded parking this year and supply wagons for you to haul your pumpkins to your car.”

“We went with a big group and saved so much money with the group discount rate. But even without the discount I would say it is worth going. My kids had a blast and it wasn’t crazy busy like some Fall activities can be.”

“Great for kids 10 and under. Mine are a bit older and they liked the pumpkin cannon a lot. Only one shot came with the tickets but it should have been 3 to be even cooler. One unfortunate thing was that none of their food was open and we had anticipated eating onsite - we ate elsewhere. Overall a fun experience but a few tweaks would have made it even better.”

“First time coming here! The slide and trampolines were super fun, little trucks to ride were cute, corn pit and mini corn maze was a must have, loved holding baby kittens, and the train and pumpkin cannon were cool. We spent just over an hour there and then felt ready to head out. As others have mentioned, the price feels unreasonable. $15/person to get in and then there are additional costs for the pumpkin canon ($5-$10/person) and to ride the train ($3/person). Food is average priced at the food trucks and in the sweets barn ($10+/person). For just my husband and I to go and experience what they had + get a bite to eat cost $70. Overall we had a good time and glad we did it at least once! It’s not something we plan on returning to throughout the season as the price felt high. If the price were lower and included all the activities (pumpkin canon and train) then we’d come multiple times during the season.”

“We are here from out of town looking for fall fun! We looked this up in the internet and saw it was $25 for a group of 6 so we were sold! Super cute place with lots for the kids to do. I thought it would be a little bigger. There was jumping clouds and large slides and a corn box to play in. Everything else was an extra charge though. Their prices were extremely reasonable but the train ride was only around the perimeter of the property. Our boys were super excited to do the pumpkin cannons but they had no pumpkins for them. So we were bummed. We did get a rousing game of corn hole going which was fun, but we were only there about 1.5 hours and this was after our kids got all the use and fun they could out of all the activities. Super cute backdrop for photos and quick fall fun!”
