“This was surprisingly unique and unexpectedly pleasant experience of my trip. Even though there are few reviews but they all justify high reviews for this place. This is farm is not commercially setup for tours and tours are free but this raw experience does add authenticity to this experience. You get to experience and see first hand coffee production from seed to plant to process to all the way to packaging by the owner in a very intimate and friendly setup. When I reached to the farm, gate was locked. I called the number listed on google and owner Frank answered the call. He said he would go there as he is working at nearby location if I don’t mind waiting. He was at the gate after few minutes. He showed up even it was almost closing time. He patiently explained everything and showed me every single coffee production related process. Answered all my questions and showed me his entire facility. I bought freshly roasted Kona coffee. I highly recommend this place instead of other old established coffee plantation who has commercialized their operations. You won’t regret visiting this place. Road leading to this place is little steep, winding and farm is located inside gated community. Road leading to farm from gate is not paved.”

“My husband and I were the only two people on a tour. Frank took us all around his property showing us his coffee trees, how the beans are harvested and processed, and roasted. He has a small scale operation, and the coffee beans are hand picked from the trees. We learned so much. The coffee was delicious as well. He was a very nice man and even gave us some recommendations for things to do on the island and for lunch spots. We highly recommend coming here for your Kona coffee tour!”

“My family visited Uluwehi Coffee Farm today. Franck was an amazing host! I’m a coffee snob and this did not disappoint. We learned a lot about coffee growing and processing. Even my family enjoyed it & they weren’t too excited about it at the beginning. I can’t wait to come back to Kona just for this tour alone. The coffee is fantastic too! If you enjoy a good cup of coffee and want a personal experience that a commercial operation can’t provide, check out Uluwehi Coffee Farm.”

“I came to the Big Island to explore coffee and coffee farms and Uluwehi is one of the prettiest farms I’ve been to. Love how its owner operated and not an investment property. The owner cares for his land and has an amazing passion for his plants and producing coffee! Highly recommend checking out this farm if you want to dive deep into the knowledge of coffee farming and pick the brain of a professional coffee farmer.”

“We had the pleasure of touring the farm with Frank, the owner, recently. The farm was beautiful and well run. Frank explained his business process for from choosing varietals to planting through converting his products into a cup of coffee. It’s a lot of work and he’s doing great, judging from the taste of his coffees.”

“I had an amazing time on this coffee tour—learned so much and got to taste some truly award-winning coffee. It really gave me a new appreciation for how much effort and precision goes into producing great coffee beans—definitely no easy task. And Franck made the whole experience even better—he was fantastic!”

“We had a fantastic time at Uluwehi Coffee Farm. Frank is so knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He goes through the process, step by step, from growing the beans to harvesting to drying to roasting to selling. We learned so much. Also, the coffee is delicious. Highly recommend!”
