Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Washington.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“It was an act of divine intervention that we landed in the hands of Shane et al. of Union Hill Cider Company for our wedding. They helped us perform a wedding miracle after our original venue fell through 5 days before the event, and there simply are not enough words of praise or gratitude I can offer to capture how gorgeous this venue is nor how wonderful the owners and staff are who work here. Had I known about Union Hill beforehand, this hands-down would have been our venue of choice from the get go. Everything about the venue—the delicious cider and alternative drink offerings, the views, the beautiful stage/pergola and seating area where we had our ceremony, the cleanliness, and features such as patio heaters—was wonderful. But truly, the icing on top of all this is the staff. Shane, Clare, and everyone else (I apologize I can’t remember all the names) were amazing: kind, professional, and so supportive and helpful. They helped make this day so special and fun. My heartfelt thank you to you all!”

“Union Hill has been growing their venue for the past several years. As of October 2024 the venue has a wonderful stage that has a captivating view of the Columbia River. The tasting room is large and has lots of seating. The outdoor seating has some covered areas along with a large number of table to sit at. You can sit on the grass in the amphitheater and enjoy some wonderful local music on Friday evenings. Family, and dog friendly Union Hill is a great place to spend an enjoyable evening sipping cider and watching the sunset over the Cascades. Union Hill has a small food menu that will appeal to most. They have a large selection of ciders to savor and enjoy. My personal favorite is the Whiskey Business a barrel aged cider. Super tasty!”

“Spectacular view, great service, food was really good (apple bacon pizza & a very large pretzel). 10 different ciders to choose from that day. Indoor & outdoor seating. Got there too early to hear the band that was going to play, but the stage is good sized & they have amphitheater style seating. Everybody can see & hear. Nicely maintained & plenty of parking. Highly recommend stopping in at Union Hill Cider Co.”

“A spectacular view! Fridays have live local music. Start with a flight to try out a few ciders then grab a glass of your favorite! Regular pub snacks but sometime they host a local food caterer. A go to place for our group to hangout and enjoy the evening! Very popular, so get there early to grab a spot!”

“What a great place! We had a lovely time trying different, unique ciders and watching the sunset. Pizza was good to. I had the bacon apple one and my husband had Andy's special. They were both delicious. The staff was very friendly. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend going.”

“LOVE this place! The views, the music and the vibe. You can bring your dog here, lots of room to spread out. Food was decent, too. Love me a good pretzel lol.”

“BBQ brought in was incredible! The venue is magical and breathtaking!”

“A beautiful view of the valley with good seating. Cider was good, food was mediocre and a bit expensive for the amount. What got me was being charged $1 extra on everything because it was band night, yet the band was not even there during my hour long visit. I get supporting local artists, but I’d rather tip them myself rather than having money applied to my bill when the musician is not even there. Seems just like an extra way to bring in money for the business when patrons like myself don’t even benefit.”
