A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Arizona.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.

What visitors say

“You need to stroll through these paths and feel the joy that wafts from blooming plants. It seems like a free botanical gardens, until you realize you spent 3x an entrance fee to start or enhance your own floral display. Do it. Make a circuit through the pathways, then retrace your track going the opposite direction. You’ll see different plants and begin to get a solid idea of what combination fills your need. I do mean that. Concerning spring plants, it’s a need. The mid May day we visited, the stock and variety was abundant. Restraint can be a thing. Entertain your children with a Spot all the Bears game. It’ll buy you extra time there. The staff will stop at any moment to answer your questions, suggest solutions to your problems, recommend plants for your application. They are such kind, patient, and knowledgeable people. Best get out there— before we return and load our trunk again, reducing your options.”

“This little gem is amazing! Our family drove by last year, saw the pumpkin patch, and decided to check it out. It was so much fun and they had what felt like thousands of different types of pumpkins all over. Lots of great photo opps everywhere. It's not just a great stop for Halloween, but any time of the year. Any time we're up north, we have to make a stop to enjoy the weather and friendly folks that work there. It's definitely worth it to make a stop at Viola's!”

“Our experience was wonderful. The gentleman that helped us was so knowledgeable about individual plants, and once we chose hydrangeas he explained everything we needed to be successful growing them. We bought a dozen large plants and planted them in June. They’re doing fantastic! Blooming and growing! Love the knowledge they share and they’re very personable kind people! The grounds and selection-INCREDIBLE!”

“Loved the Halloween theme maze. They had a scavenger hunt which was fun to do. A lot of photo ops for cool pictures. Dog friendly which is a plus. Pumpkins everywhere and all had the price under. They also have trees and flowers for sale. Very cool place for small children to enjoy. All staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be there.”

“Cute pumpkin patch. Great for the price of admission. My kids were free. They loved doing the maze and running around checking out all the pumpkins. The pumpkins were great quality and reasonably priced. We will definitely come again next year.”

“Beautiful pumpkin patch with fun activities for the kids and whole family! Definitely small, and busy on this gorgeous fall day. But worth it 100%! GREAT entry fee price! Pumpkins are a bit pricey, but again, well worth it.”

“We love stopping here at the pumpkin patch on our annual Halloween trip to Sedona. Fun for kids (and adults who are in touch with their childlike side)”

“Really neat place for a wedding and reception in the nicer months! It’s not a huge space, but it’s nice. It actually functions as both a nursery and event venue simultaneously. The outdoor patio has a nice backdrop of a large tree lit with white lights, and the backdrop of the forest is nice. We heard elk bugling! We also heard the cows in the pasture immediately adjacent to the venue. And occasionally got a whiff of their smell as well.”
