Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Minnesota.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This is a small but very pleasant orchard. It doesn't have other activities like corn maze or hayride which you may find at many other larger places. People come here just for apple picking (and pumpkin as well). No crowd, no noise - you take time to enjoy being around, and no admission fee - you only pay for what you pick. The price is by far the best I have ever seen. The owner is not only friendly but also very kind. One of our friends didn't have enough cash to make the payment (they only accept cash and check). The owner just gave my friend an envelop and asked her to mail the payment back to him. I really appreciate his good faith in people!”

“We were passing through town and stopped for fresh apple pies! We found so many cool things that are absolutely delicious. The pie….. oh my goodness-a must have, so flavorful and it’s homemade which makes it even better. The gentleman working there is so nice and great with kids. He made the stop a lot more memorable for my family. Thank you for your hard work and providing delicious goods for the community and out of towners like us!”

“Small family run shop with good selection of honey, pumpkins, gourds, baked goods, & more! $5.00 for a great bag of kettle corn. Worth the stop alone! White pumpkins were $8.00 any size. Pick your own apples or pumpkins. Take a few minutes to stop, get out & stretch your legs, grab a snack before getting back on the road.”

“Amazing customer service - family run and you can tell because it feels like small town community! Great selection of treats inside and a fun variety of pumpkins; orange, white, bumpy, smooth, big, small - you name it! Loved our experience and will be back. Just gained a loyal customer!”

“Stuck in traffic? STOP here! This is the most reasonable orchard the twin cities had to offer. Bring cash though as that's all they accept. They do offer an ATM for only a $2 charge, and will throw in a free $3 carmel apple for your inconvenience. This cheese cake pumpkin pie was the most delicious$2.50 I think I've ever spent! Definitely glad I finally made the stop here.”

“We came here for pumpkin picking and it was disappointing. Many of the pumpkins were either rotten, had holes, were bug infested or had other major issues. We ended up not getting any pumpkins. My friend got an apple cider donut which he said was great. The apple picking experience is probably better although we did not try that as we came just for pumpkins. They do have fresh honey and sell live bees which I thought was really cool!”

“We go every year! Picking pumpkins from the field is fun, but you pay a small premium as it’s 8/pumpkin. So you effectively pay $3/pumpkin for the experience (which we’re OK with). We always got the Strudel, but they stopped folding the dough over & this happens. Historically, I’d give 4/5 stars”

“If you are looking for a quick apple stop this is a good choice for time sensitive people on 169. However, if you are looking for a more intimate experience look for orchards further away. They spray their apples heavily here and nothing is marked so you don't know exactly what you're picking.”
