Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Washington.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This place was so fun, with tons of activities for the kids! We did face painting, picked apples; receiving a tractor pull ride out to the orchard, feed sheep, played in dried peas, jumped in a jumping house, played on two different slides, took a kid tractor pull ride, ate some good food, and listened to live music while drinking cider; both kid and adult versions available, and last but not least, we picked out beautiful pumpkins! Let's just say it was a lot!! I was impressed with the huge crowd. I'd heard the stories about the hundreds of people that swarm Green Bluff. They are true. So, if crowds aren't your thing..... Also a little spendy. Every little thing costs money. Also, bring cash. Most of the little places/ vendors only take cash. Of course, they do have a cash machine for your convenience. Overall, it was a good experience! I recommend this farm for your Fall needs!”

“Great place to visit, and pick some fruit! No cost for entrance or parking. Would probably be best on a Saturday or Sunday if you would like to do all the activities. We went on a Monday and were not able to do somethings, however, no crowd at all! There’s a shop/gift store with everything and more. Even apples if you do not want to pick them yourself, however the apple picking experience was great! Trees are color coded with the different types of apples. Good pumpkin variety, even some chickens roaming around! Do bring cash! Some of the food trucks were cash only, there were 2 ATM nearby! There was a cafe inside of the shop/gift store. Good apple cider, we did not try anything else from the cafe. The cafe and donuts were the only food open when we attended. The fried chicken spot was closed but sounds like a good spot when it is open. The cider is only open on weekends.”

“In my opinion, nothing compares to Walter’s! It’s the best U-pick orchard. Super pretty, nice staff, great little shop and cafe. The frozen pies are to die for and they have just about every flavor you could ever want. (I suggest the crumb apple pies). Came here in the fall and picked the tastiest apples, came here in the summer and picked the juiciest peaches. There’s tons of Super cute photo spots. They drive you around in this wagon and the drivers tell you where and how to pick. They have a Pumpkin patch in the fall with tons of options. I highly recommend making the trip out there!!”

“We were vitriol from AZ and stopped by the farm! We had a great time All of the staff were so friendly, especially the tractor driver! The peaches were some of the best tasting peaches I have ever had. We made a Peach Cobbler and the whole family loved it.”

“Great Local Farm for Fall Fun! There is a great main area with a fire pit and seating, good food trucks, drinks on tap, and plenty of fun for kiddos. Plenty of area to explore and make a fun daytrip.”

“Walter’s had the best cherries out of the 3 farms I visited. The least bugs and the plumpest cherries! The staff was so friendly and helpful especially Lexi and Kat”

“We have been to this ranch several times now to pick fruit and purchase other farm items. We really love their pies. This last trip, we decided to have breakfast in their restaurant. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon and my boyfriend had the same but with sausage. My daughter had pancakes. The food was awful. This would easily be a 1 star review if the fruit picking and pies weren’t part of this establishment. The bacon tasted gross and not fresh. The sausage was the same. The English muffins were dry and hardened. Luckily we had small packets of ketchup available to choke this meal down. Pancakes were fine for my daughter. Pretty disappointed with this breakfast and do not recommend you waste your money on it.”
