Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“It’s that time of year and tradition is to visit Wayne’s Pumpkin Patch as we move into the holiday months. He does not disappoint! The grounds are absolutely amazing with all the plants and decorations including sculptures and varies vintage buildings scattered throughout. The parking is easy with circular driveway and multiple ways in and out. It’s also well lit at night and very clean. You first notice the bouncy houses and slides blown up with several to choose from that wrap around the indoor tent area. No lines so kids can get in or on and repeat for hours while the adults with their family dog or toddlers or senior family members relax under the tent. The orange and white assortment of pumpkins in sizes and shapes attended by varies decor is neatly displayed all around the indoor seating area. Spooky mummy’s, an occupied coffin and a large mirror are on the display for those who dare to wonder close to the perimeter of the indoor area. Beverages and snacks and other Halloween treats are available for purchase at the front counter neatly arranged for easy viewing and the selection will satisfy and delight. Bring your cooler and setup at one of the tables while the kids take off their shoes and run from one bouncy house to another. A guarantee to tire the kids out. Exceptionally clean and plenty of room and tables and chairs for multiple families to relax and enjoy afternoon as a family. Take videos and photos to add to the years photo vault that will be full of autumn colors. Take your time as jt will be a tough decision on the pumpkin or pumpkins to bring home to carve and display. There are so many to choose from. The. Indoor area is gets a constant light ocean breeze that comes through making it very pleasant to enjoy the afternoon at a comfortable temperature. The staff is friendly and helpful and attentive. The reasonable fee is well worth the priceless family time. It’s really an impressive setup and definitely a must visit spot located at the corner of El Camino Real and Manchester Road in Encinitas, CA. You can’t miss it with a box truck parked on the very corner with big print Pumpkin Patch. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend to any age to take the time to visit. Happy Halloween!”

“My kids were going here during Halloween since they learned how to walk. Now they are teenagers, and we stopped by to say "hi". As it was closing time, and no many other kids, the owner let us go to jumpers and slides. There is an area to sit, kids can draw with creons, you can have a B-day party or a celebration. There was face paintings, petting zoo and other organized activities during weekends. In the same parking lot you can buy flowers throughout the year. This is a local gem, have a feel of forgotten mama's and papa's businesses. ATM, water, sodas, chips, ring-pop... If u need something, just ask. There are varieties of pumpkins. Prices might be on a high side, but still cheaper then on big pumpkin patches. I like to support local business like this, and buy a pumpkin or two, at least, here. Whole day jumping, in and out (you can go home, and come later again the same day) was $20 last time I checked. might be less on workdays / evenings. There are two or three friendly dogs that walk around. They don't bother people, but will come to you if you want to play/pet them. I heard they are service animals. In December, in the same area they sell Christmas trees. They deliver them to your house.”

“I had such a blast and not expensive at all me and a few of the neighborhood kids went the people were so welcoming if u guys are in the area go check it out.The plus of it all was we came in the morning and purchased the all day ticket so u could leave and then comeback how Kool is that”

“This a great place to bring the kids for jumping houses. It’s seasonal before Halloween and 10 dollars to jump. Super convenient and fun for everyone. If you live close by it’s a no brainer.”

“Great selection of pumpkins and gourds, and super friendly and helpful team! Also a perfect holiday play date destination with the many bounce houses!!”

“About 8 jumpers, pumpkins for a very affordable price . Lots of fun ! Adults can jump too !!”

“Happy Holidays! They offered free delivery 🚚 and had very nice trees.”

“Such a shame as we had just picked out a beautiful tree (the trees are great) and ended up not purchasing it as the owner (or maybe manager?) and one of his employees got into a public argument in front of customers which turned physical. I grabbed my young kids and got the heck out of there. Will not be returning.”
