Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New Jersey.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My family and I went there for the first time this weekend, we had a blast! For $30/pp (children 3 and under are free) this includes: a tracker ride around the entire farm, which is longer than most tracker rides I’ve done at apple and pumpkin farms, a corn maze if you want to go through it, one pumpkin each, and you receive one apple picking tote per person. The price of the fruit you pick isn’t included but all in all I think it’s a very fair deal. It’s clean, well organized, everyone was very nice and helpful and their food stands and store had a ton of really delicious items to pick from. They also have a huge picnic area. We usually go to Chester every fall but this was a really great alternative as Chester has become very crowded this time of year. We got there at 9 when they opened and we didn’t wait on any lines. I highly recommend this place!”

“Nice fun activities for kiddies in Brooklyn. There were pony rides for $4 ..animals pigs hen sheep bunnies hamsters cows llamas and $9 for a head of lettuce to feed them if you wish. The food was mediocre and no apple cider donuts but it was fresh and decently priced. There was a bubble show which the kids loved, the pumpkin patch was simple and u get to have a free pumpkin. The corn saddle had fun toys for the kids to play with. And alot of fun little play areas built around. Only suggestion to increase revenue would be to offer face paintings for the kids and animal balloons. There were stuffed animals a d souvenirs for purchase but those were overpriced (for me).”

“Very nice family oriented apple picking farm at Morristown, NJ. It was a good time for our small kids as there were many activities - hay ride took us through the big farm areas, the corn maze was great with Halloween themes, great selection of apples and pumpkins. The price was good for all these activities, the food wasn't overpriced either. Great place to take family photos. The hayride maintained social distancing but overall it was too crowded because it was the weekend. I would suggest going there on a weekday because social distancing can't really be maintained when its so crowded especially around the food stalls.”

“Absolutely beautiful! I came here for strawberry picking, but they have tons of other fruits to pick throughout the summer. I’ll definitely be back and recommend this for anyone.”

“Years later and I am back at Wightman Farms! It was just like I remembered it and this time, we made sure to arrive right when the farm opened on a Sunday morning. Tickets were around $30 which include a hayride, souvenir bag for apple picking, one pumpkin, access to the corn maze and more. We started with the hayride first it was so relaxing and the air was still cold and crispy. It led us right to the pumpkin area where we got to select one pumpkin then head over to explore the rest of the farm. Apple picking was nice but if you can't do mini hills, you may want to stay on even land. We walked as far as we could to pick apples then headed to the area where they weigh your bag and then you pay for them. There's also pumpkin slingshot that is an additional charge plus food vendors. A lot of the vendors only took cash so keep that in mind. Lastly, we stopped at the store and although it was crowded, we already knew we were there for apple cider and donuts. In addition to that, you'll find salads, sandwiches, pies, apples, candy corn, etc. Definitely get cold or hot cider to go plus a bag of donuts. They have tons of parking too and staff to direct you to an empty spot so no worries there. Just enjoy the day and have fun!!”

“My family have been going there for over 15 yrs and unfortunately, I will have look for somewhere else. We really have been going for the nostalgia the girls are young adults now. Reason is, we started when it was about $12 for entrance and u get a free doughnut. This year entrance went up to $30 from last year $25. You're not getting anything more, the cost of the apples are now $3.49 /lb on top of entrance.”
