A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Minnesota.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“The whole area smells like flowers and fruit. The people were very pleasant and helpful. The place is very kid-friendly and has a small playground. I didn't have kids with me, so I wouldn't know if there are any specific rules about it. They sell take-and-bake pies and that was by far the best cherry pie I've ever had. Had a very pleasant experience overall. If you've never been around apple trees before, you should know that there's a lot of wasps and bees, but they're too busy munching on the rotten apples on the ground to care about you as long as you're careful not to accidentally kick or step on one of them.”

“We had a great time at Woods' Edge Apples! We really enjoyed the variety of apples to choose from and the ability to pick our own apples. There was also a cute shop that had a variety of goods (including crocheted goods, tiny pumpkins, and frozen apple crumbles, among many other things). The only challenging part was that the parking lot is on the small side, but we would absolutely go back again.”

“This was a great family-friendly place. We enjoyed that it wasn't so crowded and more on the smaller side (easier to find things)! The goats were also super sweet and gentle to toddler hands. Our little guy LOVED them! We will definitely be coming back next year 🙂”

“I love this apple orchard. Great quality apples and a large variety. Friendly/knowledgeable owners, and a very nice setting, with lots of seasonal craft items for sale in the apple house. I visit several times during the apple season. Highly recommended!”

“Quaint and quiet. You come for the delicious apples without the noise of endless activities. The honeycrisp are always our favorites! Friendly staff and clean grounds- we visit at least twice per year!”

“Great small orchard with delicious apples. Perfect Sunday after for this pregnant mama and family❤️ I would recommend if looking for a nice, easy, peaceful place to pick some delicious apples.”

“Great orchard and it was nice they had a true pumpkin patch and picm your own raspberries. Everyone working here was very friendly, great prices and just an all around nice little farm.”

“Very nice place; lots of different apples, and prices are okay too.”
