“My wife and I visited 21 Degrees Estate on July 2nd while celebrating our honeymoon after recently getting married, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our first trip to Hawaiʻi. From the moment we arrived, Michael and Maria made us feel so welcome. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like family. We were greeted with the most refreshing tea don't ask what it's made from, let it be a surprise! It was so good that my wife ended up buying two bags before we left. It's an absolute must-try. The farm itself is beautiful, filled with lush greenery, cocoa trees, ginger, turmeric, bananas, avocados, mangoes, and so much more. Michael's tour was fascinating from the wonderfully fragrant shampoo ginger (I wish stores sold something that smelled that amazing!) to the bee hives, where we learned so many interesting facts. Be sure to ask about the queen bee! And the fresh honey... absolutely incredible. Honestly, some of the best we've ever tasted. Don't forget to say hi to the friendly Hawaiian husky, who welcomed everyone with such a sweet personality. Learning about the cocoa trees and the year-round dedication that goes into growing and harvesting them gave us a whole new appreciation for chocolate. The experience ended with an incredible chocolate tasting hosted by Maria. We also loved their thoughtful use of wooden/bamboo serving trays instead of plastic. Every chocolate had its own unique flavor, and hearing the story behind each one made the tasting even more special. We couldn't leave without taking home some honey and a few chocolate bars! And oh, I almost forgot the chocolate popsicles they were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the tour. We loved them so much and would highly recommend trying one before you leave! Thank you, Michael and Maria, for making our first visit to Hawaiʻi so special. Kauaʻi was amazing, and you made our time on Oʻahu just as unforgettable. “We had such a great experience visiting this family-owned cacao farm! Michael and Maria were incredibly hospitable and genuinely passionate. Not just about the chocolate, but about making sure everyone on the tour felt included and learned something. They walked us through the entire process from tree to finished bar, and it really opened our eyes to the value of Hawaii-grown chocolate and the special craft niche they’ve created here. You can immediately see the pride their family takes in the farm and the land — the property itself is beautiful and worth the visit alone. Even on a very rainy day day it was a great time. And the chocolate…so good. After tasting it, you understand why small-batch local chocolate is so different from anything you buy in a store. The tour was completely worth the price. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island, and even locals would really enjoy it. Such a cool, authentic experience and one of the highlights of our trip! You might go snorkeling, do some whale watching, take in a luau, and maybe even hike one of the dramatic volcanic craters. However, if you’re looking for a real unique island experience, you must check out 21 Degrees Estate~you won’t be disappointed! This little gem is a family owned boutique cacao farm located on the Windward side of Oahu. On April 7, we had the pleasure of joining Michael and Maria on a tour of their cacao orchard where we not only learned about where chocolate comes from, but we had a crash course on honeybees, turmeric & many of Hawaii’s native trees, and tropical flowers. The best part of our tour was ~of course~ the taste testing! I can honestly say that nothing compares to the decadent taste of their dark chocolate & truffles. It truly was a tree to bar experience!”

They are wonderful hosts and guides on this journey to learn about cacao and the fine art of making their award-winning chocolate. Starting with chocolate tea and ending with bon bons, you will have the opportunity to learn all about their farm and their craft, meet their goats and dog, and learn about honey-making It is a must-do on the beautiful windward side of Oahu. “10/10 experience. If you love to learn this is the place for you. It was our (my hubby and I) favorite tour/activity we've done so far on Oahu. The owners are so kind and knowledgeable. The people we had in our tour group were fun and smart. They had so many awesome questions it made the experience even better. We bought alot and already know we will be repurchasing. “Book now, any event or tour, or better yet, all of them!!! Michael and Maria are so sweet and the farm is fantastic. Goat yoga was the most fun, the goats are hilarious, and top it off with the best chocolate I have ever had. They have the magic, it is even better than other places on island, and far superior to anything you’ve had elsewhere, both in taste and quality. Grab some honey too, it is like a mouthful of sunshine. ❤️🐐🐝🌈🍫”
