“... ended up trying that place i mentioned, the one with the huge pumpkin patch. My family and I had such a great time wandering around, even though we definately spent way more money on fresh apple cider and honey than we planned becuase everything smelled so good. They had this whole setup with a little corn maze too which was fun but we spent most of our time just sitting at a picnic table eating and watching the kids run around. The sugar pumpkins were cheap so I grabbed four and they are already making really good pies. Overall it was the perfect lazy afternoon trip, the kind where you dont want to leave and already look forward to next year. Definitely worth the drive out that way if you want a casual farm outing.”

“The best farm stand in the area. Wide selection, u-pick options for flowers and pumpkins depending on the season, and a beautiful setting. Sign up for their weekly emails and they’ll tell you what’s available each week which is awesome. They also offer a selection of meats from a local farm, as well as baked goods from local bakers. Parking is ample, even though it looks tight when you first arrive, just proceed past the stand to park towards the back.”

“I stopped at 24Carrot Farm for the first time last weekend looking for Herb start plants for my vegetable garden -- They had the best selection of herb and vegetable starts I have found in the greater Sacramento area. With lots of hard to find herbs like savory, lemon balm, french taragon and some great different colored calendulum. Its was a gardeners dream.”

“Had such a great time picking pumpkins with our 9 month old. Loved the oversized wagons, it was great for him to ride in with the pumpkins. I do recommend bringing a nice comfy blanket for your littles to sit on in the wagon. Can't wait to make this a new tradition.”
