A Different Chick Farm and Orchard

“After paying for an order of apple scion wood from A Different Chick Farm and Orchard, I was supposed to receive a notification for shipping charges. Since I never received it, I called the phone number for this business (posted on Google) and a nice lady picked up the phone (who happened to be the business owner). She told me that due to a planned price reduction on their scion wood, they would be shipping my order for free because I paid full price before the discount could be applied. I was very happy and satisfied with the response, but due to a misunderstanding my order was not processed. I received a full refund, so I would like to amend my review to reflect the decency of their response to a mistake that, frankly, could've happened to anyone.”

“I really love this company. I've bought scions and apple trees from them for 2 years now and wish I'd found them sooner. They have all done very well. Their scion selection is the best I've found for unusual apple scions and you get what is advertised. They mail very quickly and their prices and postage are reasonable. Her apple trees are also the best prices for what you get and she has good rootstock selections. I have obtained over 500 apple varieties over the last 5 years, so I have experience in this. I've ordered from Raintree, Big Horse Creek, Wagon Wheel, Century Farm, Cummins Nursery, Grampa's, Fedco. For a small operation, A Different Chick Farm is amazing.”

“Amazing farm with passionate staff. I live 2 hours from my parents and they are unable to grow their own garden this year due to health issues. I was able to purchase part of the CSA plan and have a box of fresh veggies delivered each week. What a blessing to them and for me to be able to help from a distance. They are so helpful and quick to respond on their FB page.”

“I wanted to let you know that the eggs I ordered arrived in perfect condition. I was super impressed that you individually wrapped each egg in bubble wrap to ensure a safe journey from your house to mine. The wrapping was easy for me to take off, there was no chance I would damage or crack an egg. Thank you so much, let’s do business again!”

“We have purchased 4 chicks from this hatchery and have had healthy outcomes. We have a small backyard setup and it was nice to have the option of autosexing so we didn't waste valuable space raising a cockerel. They have been pleasant and flexible to deal with. I would recommend to others considering adding to their flock.”

“Great quality of peach & nectarine scion wood. I received all dormant wood with well differentiated buds (both vegetative and flowering). My grafts took within 10 days”

“Amazing product. The plants were delivered fast and in great condition. They are thriving and producing some of the largest super hots I’ve ever seen.”

“Worst packaging, I was shipped an omelet not hatching eggs. I reached out and was told shipping problems happen. This was not a shipping problem but a packaging problem. I was told they will do me a favor and send me replacement, never happened. Learn from my mistake and order from someone else.”
