Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This place is a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip! This blueberry farm has been owned by the same family for over 150 years and still going! There are lots of blueberries ripe for the picking during blueberry season. They have both USDA Organic Certified and regular blueberries. The staff will direct you to the organic portion of the blueberry field if you opt for those (we did). The owners are just downright friendly and very nice to talk with. Check out their honey and maple syrup as well. My wife and I had a great time picking ten pounds of berries in a very short time. I must mention to be prepared for the weather while picking as the sun was hot, bright and shiny when we were there. Strongly suggest wearing a hat.”

“Great place to pick organic blueberries. Not the easiest to identify and neither is the organic picking area. However it is a great experience for the kids to have a chance to harvest their own little bucket full of treasures. (What they don’t eat anyway). We managed 5 lbs. in about 45 minutes. It’s easy to see how the bushes have grown in the two years since we last visited. The berries are sweet and the bushes were really full this year. The price is reasonable and you get a discount if you bring your own containers.”

“Great blueberry farm that offers organic blueberries as a pick-your-own option. We are so thankful that they have such a big area dedicated to organic berries! Our family of 4 are looking forward to making pie and muffins with ours; they are so sweet and flavorful. Definitely a place to support and return to again! Friendly customer service was a big plus. Support your local farmer!”

“Get there fast as owner says season is coming to an end. Located along a quiet road. Picked blueberries peacefully and listened to the birds chirping away. Memorable lifelong experience of you've never done this. A few other items, i.e. honey, available. Sign needed at the corner of M-140 to advertise u-pick farm, or maybe I missed seeing the sign.”
