What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Michigan, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

What visitors say

409 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Had some great produce, a few frozen options and decent collection of jarred foods. Much of it was labeled local or with their own brand. It would be preferable to me if labeling was even more clear how far away it was from (cucumber and zucchini said local grown but bell peppers did not). Overall seemed to carry seasonal produce plus maybe a few extras with unknown origins. Would happily visit again!”

“I understand it's under new ownership. First of all, thanks for returning the iconic sign! This awesome place was well stocked with all sorts of fall harvest goodies & more. The ladies who worked there were friendly & helpful. We live in Chicago & don't get to visit too often, but we always make it here when we're in town. There is nothing better than farm fresh produce from Michigan!”

“Did upick here June 2025 for cherries. Entry fee $10/person very expensive, then cherries are weighted 4.99/lb. I highly recommend the farm market they have very far Esp farm products such as veggies and fruit. They also have meat I highly recommend the cottage bacon there.”

“I absolutely love it here. The staff absolutely educated me on so many things they have brussels sprouts Asian pears every type of apple you could want they have their own salad dressing. I’m absolutely blown away by the prices, Asian pears can you believe that?”

“This place is awesome really nostalgic. Growning up in the metro detroit area we would go to canton, bellville, sumpter township to find places similar to this. It's a shame, it's so far away from the metro area.”

“One of my favorite fruit stands. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable amd the fruits and veggies are always fresh and tasty.”

“Great fruits and vegetables, sauces, pies cute place to pop in while traveling”

“Stopped by to check out the pumpkins, first thing that really turned me off is the fact this place actually tries to pull off the $.99 trick. That works in big box stores, in roadside stands, it just feels manipulative. I inquired if they would be able to take anything off of the price of a pumpkin due to a MAJOR growth defect on the side of a few of the smaller large pumpkins. Her response, and I quote. "Oh, they grow that way, so no. We cant come down on the price at all." 🤦‍♀️ I walked around the stand, taking my time to read labels and consider if any of the items would be a good Michigan grown gift idea for an upcoming trip to Nebraska, and when I came within an appropriate distance to look up and acknowledge the woman working, I found her openly staring at me, shoulders hunched, unpleasant look on her face as if I was doing something wrong. I was honestly so uncomfortable, I left immediately without purchasing anything. I understand she is a human being and is entitled to bad days, God knows we all have them, but the combination of the pricing manipulation, the condescending response to my question, and the way she was scowling at me was enough to let me know to stay clear of this place.”
