Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Colorado.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This was our first time at Anderson patchwork. It was such an amazing place! Our daughters first pumpkin patch! She is 1 & she loved it so much! The goats were so much fun! It was a wonderful experience! All the workers were so so so sweet & kind! The hay ride to the pumpkin patch was fun as well! The whole experience was just great. The prices were extremely affordable as well. This will be our forever patch! 🎃🎃🎃🎃. I already can’t wait to go back 😁😁😁😁”

“My husband and I visited Anderson Patchwork Pumpkins for the first time today and we were so happy with the whole experience! From the moment we got there we were greeted and given all the details on pricing and where to go. The selection of pumpkins and other fall treats were amazing. The pricing was super reasonable too! Needless to say we will be back again next year! We highly recommend!”

“We've been coming here for pumpkins every October for almost 20 years. It's grown a lot and depending on the type of growing season they had, there's usually a large assortment and varieties of goodies.”

“Edit following owner response: this response validates my point of rudeness and lack of professionalism. A very simple "hey, I apologize, we're short handed today but will help you the best we can" by the staff would have gone a long way. Sounds like we just caught a bad day with attitudes though. Only positive I have to say is the prices were good. However, that did not make up for the poor experience. I definitely would not recommend going nor will we be returning. The hay ride to the pumpkin patch seemed like a great idea but the patch was so overgrown with weeds, few feet tall weeds, my kids (ages 1 and 4) did not enjoy walking through getting poked at chest and face level. The employees were all rude and not the least bit welcoming, didn't even see anyone until almost half an hour after they opened. Finally, the biggest issue I had was the dog who they said wasn't friendly and not to be touched. It's a business which attracts many young kids and with that being known it should have been put away from the many children running around. This made me very uncomfortable especially after seeing it snarl. Not family friendly, worth the drive to go somewhere else.”
