In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Florida, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Florida.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Wonderful picking experience. Call ahead if the weather has been cold and then arrive EARLY for the best picking. Berries are large and very sweet. Walking and picking are easy with wide rows and provided carrying pails. Great thing to do with 6+ year old kids. Younger needs supervision to not trample fruit. Plenty of parking and a large seating area under oak trees (bring a folding chair or blanket) if the group needs to be split. Only word of caution is Sumter county rd 104. If your vehicle doesn’t have a lot of ground clearance it may scrape on the raised railroad crossing next to 35. Mustangs beware.”

“You must come and pick the best berries you can get in the area. They are juicy, ripe, wonderful large berries. Pick on your own, or buy pre-picked. The price is $3.50 per pound pick your own and $4 for pre-picked. This is a wonderful family event. Take photos and enjoy the small farm friendly atmosphere. Expect to pick more than a pound. They normally pick from late November to March. Once the strawberries are done, look for Blueberries and then Blackberry. Wow. You will not be disappointed. Credit cards accepted.”

“Pick your own blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries in incredibly manicured fields. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices for easy picking strawberries , blueberries, and blackberries. Also strawberry onions are sold and grown on site. Check their website for hours and in season berry availability. A small selection of berry related products (such as jellies and jams) are also available. A great place!”

“The freshest berries. I have acid reflux from commercial strawberries. These strawberries are a plant created by UF agriculture and i was able to eat pounds of them with no acid! I haven't had strawberries in so long I totally overdid it but it was worth it.”

“I love this place. Came late last weekend, this time I came early and so much better. Got over 5lbs of gorgeous strawberries! So much sweeter and tastier than store bought.”

“Such a fun and beautiful place to pick strawberries. No parking, entrance, nor field fee. Only charge by the pound/what you pick, which is so nice.”

“Great farm to pick your own strawberries. Friendly and helpful family run operation. Highly recommed the experience of picking your own.”

“Layered out very nicely for picking. The berries were big, beautiful and plentiful. My only complaint is the berries themselves, they don't have that really deep, rich, strawberry taste. It's a fun day to pick your own and I would do it again next season.”
