“Wonderfield Farm was a cherry on top of our week long trip to Florida. We were tired of the hustle and bustle of Orlando and the quietness and serenity of the farm was exactly what we needed. Tara was very welcoming and responded promptly to our questions on Hipcamp chat. She doesn’t stay on the farm full time, but we met some of the other people who work there tending to the animals and taking care of the garden. The house was spacious with a large living room, a bedroom with two comfy queen size beds and a shower. There is an additional bathroom with the Tun next to the kitchen. The kitchen was my favorite place! Bright, newly renovated, with quality appliances and kitchenware and a cool bar we used for eating breakfast and writing. There are also two screen patios: one with a large dining table and a grill and another with a sofa and a fire pit. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the roosters. Our daughter was thrilled to meet the chickens, the ducks, the piglets and of cause the cows. It was super fun to fed them oranges! We walked through the garden, took the nature walk through the property and picked oranges from the trees and from the ground. What a neat experience! The farm is very authentic and is surrounded by a creek and marshes. We didn’t see any snakes or gators, but quite a few lizards, frogs and furry caterpillars. We hardly saw anyone around apart from a couple of people in the morning, so it felt very private. There were other guests on the cottage but it was all very quiet. The farm is a short drive from Rainbow Springs (we did glass bottom kayaking in KP park, swam in the turquoise water and walked to the waterfalls in Rainbow Springs). Crystal River and three sisters stream are about 30 min away as well. Tara had provided plenty of information (in the chat and the booklet at the house) about places to explore in the area, dining etc, so it was easy to navigate I wish we could have stayed longer!”

“We stayed at Wonderfield Farms for two nights with our 2-year-old and had the most amazing time! The property is absolutely beautiful and so serene, it felt like the perfect escape. Our son loved all of the animals, he got to feed the pigs and goats and was so excited to see the cows, donkey, rabbit, chickens, turkey, ducks, and all the beautiful birds around the farm. The house itself was spotless and very comfortable. The bed was super cozy, and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches — from the delicious local coffee in the kitchen to the handmade soap in the bathroom. We even enjoyed a fire one evening using the firewood that was provided, which made it feel extra special. The screened-in porch was huge and such a relaxing place to unwind. We spent time walking all around the farm and along the water, it’s truly gorgeous. Our little one loved the fun play areas too, especially the see-saw and zip line! We arrived late after a long drive, and check-in was seamless with the lockbox and code provided. Everything was so easy and well thought out. We had such a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back! The glamping tents look amazing too, we’re already planning our next visit.”

“We stayed for an event and there was plenty of beds in the cottages and the glamping tents are awesome . Our guests used 3 of the 4 tents and all said they had the most peaceful sleep ever . The Barn has a kitchen space we used as well as an outside cook area . There was also a stage where our Dj set up that already had speakers and dance lights . We had a caterer that coordinated with Kay and Tara beforehand and it turned out perfect . There were plenty of tables already there and we were able to arrange the space and decorate as we pleased making our special event beautiful and enjoyable by everyone . The animals are so cute and some are very friendly . The old oaks and incredible views make you feel like a guest on sacred land ! Tara and Capt.Mark are the most gracious hosts and everything adds up to a very relaxing , serene experience recharging the soul in a weekend !!!!”

“Just had our wedding reception/celebration and it was nothing short of magical! We had yoga in the field and massages for the bride & groom, which I highly recommend! The farm has an amazing Old Florida charm and beauty. The accommodations for ourselves and our wedding party were clean, quaint and there was plenty of room with the cottages and glamping tents. The staff was helpful and happy, who wouldn't be with this beauty all around! Fell in love with the donkey, the turkeys and the sweetest farm kitty who followed us everywhere. I would recommend this beauty to all to experience. Our celebration of love would not have been half as amazing if not for this wonderful place!”

“We had a really lovely time here. I brought my partner for his birthday along with our 2 year old and my partner said it’s one of the best trips he’s ever been on. Our accommodations were clean and cozy. The farm was truly magical. We got to spend so much time with the friendly animals and kitty. The afternoon Florida storms on the screened in porch reset my nervous system. Tara and everyone we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. We mostly felt like it was just us and the animals… exactly what we’d hoped for. Such a special place! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼”

“We stayed in the Glamping Village, on Christmas weekend. It was gorgeous! Campsite included fire pits, running water for the sink and outdoor shower, compost toilets, heaters/cooling in tent, walking trails, farm animals, orange trees, and an amazing environment for camping. Floral City is pretty adorable, completely scenic.”

“We had a good time. Me and my husband went for our anniversary and stood in the butterfly tent. The tent had what we needed very very cute and clean. The scenery was beautiful. The trees everywhere during sunset and sunrise look just like a dream honestly. I do wish more people talked about the alligators in the lake as the tent rest right in front of it and I was worried about them getting too close. But they seem to just do their own thing as long as you don’t mess with them and I would definitely recommend do not feed them. I would have given it 5 stars but we were disappointed that we couldn’t shower. None of the stalls had running water and it seemed uncared for. I would suggest an outside shower perhaps by the walking trail where the water sink is for people who would be uncomfortable going inside the stalls. You can at least freshen up in a bathing suit. I would have definitely done that myself had it been an option. The surrounding area is very beautiful I love all the natural beauty of the property. I would definitely recommend checking some of the photo structures like the gazebo etc. We took beautiful pictures but I was nervous as the structure felt a little unstable. To the owners I would maintain it a little better. The animal area was a cute addition. I fell in love with Donkey, he followed me around as we walk the trail. He even showed up by my tent area later that evening and I thought it was so stinking cute. I do feel like the pens with the other animals could use some TLC especially the pig area. All the animals were very friendly and actually want your attention. Overall we had a good time. It’s definitely a place to disconnect and take in nature.”
