Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had such a wonderful experience at Baker Farms U-Pick! The apples were absolutely delicious fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. The baked goods were amazing. The free corn maze was such a fun bonus, and our kids had a blast picking out the perfect pumpkins for carving. From start to finish, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. A perfect spot for families, friends, or anyone who enjoys fresh fruit, fall fun, and a genuine hometown experience. We’ll definitely be coming back again! 🍎🥧🌽🎃✨”

“There aren't enough stars for me to accurately rate this apple picking farm! I teach adults with developmental disabilities, and I brought my class there to pick apples, so we could make applesauce. I was completely blown away by their kindness, accommodation, and positive attitude! I could not believe the amount of beautiful apples!! Be sure to visit during the week, as it gets very busy on the weekends!”

“We had a great time apple picking at Baker Farm's U-Pick. There were many varieties of apples and there were still lots of apples on the trees in mid October, making it easy for our little pickers to reach. The employees at Baker Farm were very friendly and helpful and helped make the experience even better. A great place to make family memories!”

“Such a fun apple farm! The kids had a blast! Only paid $20 for 1 bag to fill Apples with. Other places charge per person but we don't need $100 (and lbs) worth of apples. They had wagons to help with the weight of the apples and pumpkins. The cider was SOOO good. Parking is free too. We'll definitely be back!”

“Amazing farm and wonderful fruits. The staff was so nice as well, the owners wife was running the ticket counter and she explained the rules to us patiently. We were a big group and she took the time to get us setup. I would visit this place again and will recommend this farm to everyone.”

“This place is great. Each bag of apples you pick are 25$. They had four varieties of apples ready for people to pick. Courtland, gala, Honey golds, and I can't remember the fourth. You get a reasonable amount of apples for 25$. Take the family here you'll enjoy it”

“Fun for whole family. Lots of varieties of apples plus pumpkins, hay rides, and corn maze.”

“This place has gone downhill. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and the staff has always been passive-aggressive, but this year was a new low. They now charge per person just to pick apples, on top of paying for the bags. When we questioned it, they were extremely rude and arrogant and told us “people steal apples and shove them in their pockets so now you have to pay for it.”??? They also told us we wouldn’t find better prices (which we did, immediately, at another orchard). The only reason we kept coming here was out of family tradition. When we left, the two women at the counter were yelling after us, “We’ll see you back here soon! See you next time!” really unprofessional and embarrassing. The so-called corn maze is just a straight path with no turns, and it hasn’t been updated in years. You also can’t jump up to grab apples you will be kicked out. I’m glad we finally found a new place with actual amenities, fair pricing, and great customer service. The staff there even said they weren’t surprised when we told them how badly we were treated here. I hope they learn from this because some good customer service skills would’ve changed this whole outcome. Especially when they claimed they “might not be open next year” yeah I’m not surprised with how you treat people.”
