Barton Pumpkin Patch

“I wanted to make it a point to leave a review here because I feel like these negative reviews are extremely misleading. I called ahead of time because someone else said this is “teen-friendly” and there’s “scary decor popping out at you” and it’s not child-friendly. I have a 3.5 year old. This older gentlemen politely answered the phone and informed me of what these decorations were and that everyone loved them and even took pictures with them! We get there and the “scary” decorations were literally no different than any ordinary Halloween decoration you’d see in any neighborhood yard. Nobody is popping out at you and my son wasn’t scared at all. He pointed it out and said “spooky” and then wanted pictures with the massive blowup pumpkin and cute little kitty halloween decorations. There’s also a cute little photo spot to take pictures. The same man I spoke to was there making sure the pumpkins were well-displayed and while they may not be 99c a lb., you won’t get pumpkins these sizes at any grocery store or Walmart.. none of them were rotting on one side like most stores. This is a cute family ran little patch and I just wanted it to be noted so others don’t see the negative reviews and refrain from coming here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“With mixed reviews I wanted to leave my review. My husband decided to try this place out with the kids. They came home with the biggest pumpkin and smiles. Usually the pumpkin they got which was 10lbs would cost well over 50- was 10-. For 20- the kids came home with the pumpkin of their dreams. I am so happy my husband didn’t listen to previous reviews. Thank you for making my son’s birthday yesterday awesome.”

“It is a place on the side of the road but they had a set up for pictures and some spooky decorations. My kids are 1 and 2, they weren't scared. So I would say it depends on your kids. They also had great pumpkins!”

“Cool little place! They had a great selection of really nice pumpkins even on the night before Halloween! They had cute decorations and the staff was so nice!! The pumpkins were .99 cents a pound.”

“Beautiful pumpkis as always. Located at gunn hwy and north Mobley in Odessa. If you still need pumpkis go as soon as possibl. Huge variety but going fast. Family owned. pumpkis go there quickly.”

“I really wanted to support locally so I stopped with my children to pick out a pumpkin. Very similar to other posts, not all pumpkins are 99 cents per pound but it was OK because I bought a small 2lb pumpkin, which would have cost the same $6 as if I had purchased one at the grocery store. My only complaint was that there’s scary decor that pops out as you walk around so this is not very kid-friendly (young kids). They were terrified and wanted to leave immediately. I almost put the pumpkin down but managed to scramble out the money to pay and depart. There was no way of getting around it because some are at the pay station so it was just difficult & unexpected. Teens+ would be fine but not a young kid spot, unfortunately.”

“The sign said 99¢ per pound.(pictured) They don’t even weigh it…They look at it and tell you what price it is. The pumpkin I bought weighed 1.6 (I weighed it because I was curious) should have cost me at least 2 dollars…I paid 3(I know an extra dollar but oh well don’t have a poster saying 99¢ per pound) GO TO WALMART THIS IS A SHAM! 😐🎃 poor pumpkins.”
