“I LOVE JIRETZ BLUEBERRIES! The blueberries are delicious and the experience is very peaceful and calming. The farm owners, Michael and Nila are wonderful hosts! They make you feel so welcome and they do care for their customers! These berries are truly their passion and labor of love. You can understand why they need to limit picking to adults who will appreciate and treat the bushes carefully - we want to enjoy Jiretz blueberries for years to come! You will be so happy with the beautiful surroundings and the opportunity to enjoy these gifts of nature.”

“I spent a wonderful hour at the blueberry patch. I've never seen such plump and delicious blueberries. The whole experience was very pleasant, the pickin is easy and the owners are awesome people. They will direct you to the best location within the patch and give you any pointers that you might need. They play soothing music throughout the patch and Michael, the owner/botanist, has been known to play his violin for the pickers. Don't deny yourself the pleasure of the wonderful blueberries or the pleasant experience. I promise that you won't regret either.”

“This is my 3rd year picking here. I love these blueberries and get as many as I can so I can freeze them for the year. All year long I enjoy eating these delicious organic blueberries. I can’t imagine buying them at the store again! Also, It’s so peaceful picking in Michael & Nila’s field. It’s a shame they’ve had to add rules. “This is our favorite place to pick blueberries. It isn’t a commercial farm - this is their yard and they care so much about providing fresh, organic blueberries for their customers. As such, we try to respect the property and pick what we need and not damage the bushes and berries. I hesitate to tell people about it because I selfishly want it to stay intimate and fabulous. I look forward all year to getting an email from Michael saying the berries are ready.”

“No kids under 10 allowed! The blueberries are delicious and it’s with a heavy heart that we won’t be coming back. Read full review as to why below. My family and I have been going to this farm for the past 3 years and the blueberries are delicious and beautiful. You can tell the field is a work of love. In a recent visit we weren’t greeted with a “good morning” but were informed that kids under 10 were typically not allowed into the fields as there was a family that came and did not supervise their kids. Unfortunately the unsupervised kids ended up destroying some bushes. As in everything in life, it only takes one to spoil the barrel and now my kids are not allowed to pick. I understand the change in rules and I cannot fault the owners, but I will be going to farms that will allow my kids to participate not spectate. We did look forward every year to experience blueberry picking at Jiretz Road Farm but alas it has come to an end. Response: unfortunately I wish that were the case. when we were there as we were scolded that our child was picking when we were standing right next to them. It felt more like condemnation then grace and guidance. I do understand the reasoning as you put in a lot of work but we will be going to another farm.”
