Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Oregon.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Ok my sister was right! Bauman Farms Harvest Festival is worth every penny! Entrance is $15 no matter what. If you want your kids 3 and up to be able to do all the activities then they are $30 each, but can do just about everything as much as they want all day. So many fun activities for the whole family and the apple cider and apple cider donuts were both a delicious treat! I do think they need to keep The Red Barn market open a couple hours after closing the rest down so people can have time to shop and eat at their delicious deli! At least on the weekends would be nice. The Cider Festival was nice - quite toasty in that area. And $15 on top of the general $15 admission gets you 5 small tastings from over a dozen different places. You can buy more tastings for $1 each. It's nice that they have plenty of port-a-potties and hand washing stations. The line to buys tickets with cash was much shorter and faster than using a credit card, but it was so nice to be able to use either all over the farm. This is quite the establishment and I highly recommend it for a wonderful family outing. If you can't make it to the Harvest Festival plan on going out for the Christmas at the Farm!”

“This is one of my favorite. Go to places whenever I need to just unwind. I love how they have a large shop where you can purchase all kinds of plants or if you’re interested in different kinds of snacks or different kinds of flavors you will absolutely find it here. Lots of very unique items that you will not find anywhere else. I am a huge fan of how they have everything Locally sourced here at this place. The animals are a very huge plus for me, because they help me get in touch with nature and feel like I am connecting. It is always an absolute delight to come here because I know that I will have a good time and that I will leave a lot happier. If you get a chance, definitely have lunch here as they’re sandwiches are excellent, and they additionally have a cider tasting area where you can Also, either get a small flight or purchase a drink. Don’t forget to also check out their bakery area. They have great desserts. This place really has it all. If you are around the area during October, they have a really big pumpkin patch, and other activities to do during that month. Make sure to add this stop to your list if you are ever in Woodburn.”

“If you are into plants and/or gardens this is the place to go! If have kids and your looking for an afternoon adventure this is also the place to go. They have a few huge play areas for kids. They have animals for the kids to see and I think they can put them also. There is a country store with a coffee shop that serves food. They also have events that they plan through out the summer. It's fun to come here, all the employees I have felt with are very friendly. 👍👍”

“Great place. Amazing nursery. There are activities for children to do. We came on a hot day and there were some shady areas to sit but the majority of activities was in the sun so plan accordingly. You can bring your dog but I don't recommend as it is too crowded.”

“I’ve never been to a food establishment that decided to stop serving food, 30 minutes before closing. We brought our family to the farm today, and planed our day around being here and enjoying everything the admission has to offer. $106.25 for five tickets, we were able to get cold apple cider and hot apple cider doughnuts in the farm store, another $20. The line was long but quick, there were three registers open. The youngest member of our family enjoyed the playground and petting zoo. We even managed to take a hay ride, and picked out five pumpkins, for $17. The older kids went to the corn maze, while my husband and I took the baby for food. I waited 30 minutes in line, the people in the group in front of me just kept adding more people to their group, the cashier said nothing to them; she did happily take their order though. Finally it was my turn to order, I asked for a turkey pesto sandwich, a choice that I had to modify from the grilled chipotle sandwich, because the cashier told the folks in front of me that they were only serving cold food now, nothing on the griddle anymore. She tells me that they are no longer serving any food. I was in total disbelief, it’s still 4:30, the store doesn’t close until 5. I ask her if she’s serious, she looks to the girl behind the slushie machine, who confirms and says that they aren’t going to get to leave on time as it is. There’s a few different ways that the farm owners can remedy this, either pay your employees to stay late enough to accommodate your posted hours, place signage that indicates that you stop serving food before the posted hours, or hire more people to handle the volume. In any case, I had to leave with a hungry family, I was so flustered by the interaction that I ended up not stopping to get the pie and other farm goodies we had planned on; after all, I had to leave hastily to find somewhere to eat. At the end of the day, $143.25 were spent and right now, it just doesn’t feel like it was worth while.”
