A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Very out of the way & well worth the effort to get there! Very courteous & helpful owner/operators! Knowledgeable with years of experience & their own press/mill. We purchased 2-half bushels of apples; cider; spices for hot spiced cider; cinnamon sticks & a couple of cups of feed corn to feed the ducks (in the grass only) on our way out! Certainly a pleasant day trip; one could spend an enjoyable afternoon looking at their orchards, the mill/press operations & gazing at sundry items that one finds to purchase. Any item needed from an apple peeler/core crank to canning jars for the items to be made from their products can be found in their market. But by far, the very best product they freely give is the customer service & knowledge they so freely offer, if asked. Was a wonderful experience, & while I will probably not need to return this year, I will certainly be back next year! I will make it a day trip with family, as well as, returning to purchase items for my canning needs & of course fall apple products! Take the time & come see them! Close to Cincinnati area & I will bring my family from Indy as well when they are visiting us in this area! Simply good for the soul & tummy!”

“Such a great stress release place to go. There is a small shop where I purchased their home grown apples and cider. I also got eggs, homemade apple butter, honey and caramel apples. All of it was delicious! A very hospitable owner that spent time showing my 4 year old grandson his forklift that was parked by the barn when my grandson asked him about it. It was nice to feel like we were being treated like family. I look forward to our next visit.”

“It is one of my favorite places to go and THE place to go for cider, apples, honey and other farm produce. The little store is full of surprises. It is a bit out of the way but worth the trip.”

“It is hard to give a review as we got there when it said it was open on the Internet but could not find any sign of life other than an open garage door on the house. We did not see an open sign nor any signs pointing visitors where to go. It was kind of disappointing since we drove out of our way to get there. We turned around in the parking lot and left. These days you do not want to wander around or into buildings without a clear invitation. Too many trigger happy folks around .”

“I called asking if they had the you pick apple experience and the lady was soooooooooo rude just off one question I asked. Not sure if she was having a bad day, which is understandable as life be lifing, but don't take it out on the customer. Even if they had the You pick apple experience, after that call I wouldn't budge to go out and support this orchard.”
