What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Idaho, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Idaho.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“This farm gave me a deep impression, which is not the products, it is the trust the farmer gives to the customers. The price and the fruit names are on the board. It details what is matured, what is close to, and what is closed. We tasted and picked up freely. As we were weighting the products, and were paying for it, no one stood by, and as we needed change, we did it ourselves. I never thought a farm could operate this way. It is unbelievable and out of my imagination. The farmer trusts people so much. I really wish the society is worth his/her trust. Best wishes.”

“This little strawberry haven was a jewel to find. The berries are plentiful and the little gals running the check out stand were a joy. Despite their age being young they achieved professionalism, instigated conversation while we waited and they weighed the berries, and astutely logged and calculated the purchase. Looking forward to picking again!”

“Found this farm from the brochure at Red Canoe Farms. I made an appointment and came to pick raspberries in the morning. Don't forget to drink water if you'll be out on a hot day. Couldn't resist taking pictures of flowers and such. Great experience; looking forward to future visits.”

“My nephew, son and me went to Berry Blossom Farms for the first time to pick blueberries and there was such a big variety. We ended up picking over 8lbs of blueberries. Such a fun experience for the whole family. The kids loved it.”
