Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Idaho.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My family and I had a wonderful experience. Thank you!! My daughter and niece loved seeing the animals -- especially petting the bunnies. My daughter talked about it the whole ride home. The tickets were $5 each for all to visit and the little girls' received small pumpkins to paint included in their fee. Tasty apple cider and popcorn were also included. The kids had fun on the playground, too, and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. I had heard positive things about this experience and am so glad we visited this special place. Thanks again for opening your property to visitors!”

“Grandpa Woody’s Pumpkin Patch is such a wonderful place for families with young kids! It’s the perfect size — not overwhelming, but full of charm and fun activities. The petting zoo, mini pumpkins to paint, and warm cider make it such a pleasant and quaint experience. Everything feels homey and welcoming, and the staff are so kind and patient with little ones. The whole atmosphere captures the best of fall — cozy, simple, and full of joy. Overall, a lovely autumn outing that we’ll definitely be returning to next year!”

“This is the second year my family has gone to Grandpa Woody’s and we will be going every year from now on! The animals are all so fun and there are tons of bunnies running around. My toddler had a great time painting a pumpkin and playing on the swingset! Love that it is by reservation, so there aren’t crowds. My brother in law is in a wheelchair and they were so accommodating to that and even though the path to the pumpkins isn’t paved it is compact enough to push a wheelchair. Highly recommend!!!”

“What a cute experience for the little ones! The kids loved the friendly animals. We were able to pet the sheep and goats. Jackson the pig was herding the sheep, too funny! We had fun looking for the rabbits! The owner was so hospitible and welcoming. Got to meet Gus and Macy (their gentle giant porch dogs) briefly who were so sweet. Nice sized pumpkin patch for the littles, painted pumpkins and ate caramel apples. They even had a play structure in the middle of the place for play time.”

“Small family owned little pumpkin patch. Very well worth the very small entry fee of seven dollars. The entry fee included a small pumpkin for painting, petting animals, Roasting marshmallows, a cup of popcorn as well as warm apple cider. A lot of value for a little bit of money. We'll be making this an annual event.”

“I am so excited to have a Pumpkin Patch close to home that feels like home. I really hope this place has a good experience with its customers so that they keep doing this year after year. My kids enjoyed this so much. It was worth the money. All the Grandparents out there this is a great memory maker.”

“Our family visited today and it was wonderful. 10/10. I have a daughter with autism and doesn’t do well with crowds. We usually do not go to a pumpkin patch but we hope this one will be open every year. We will come every year. Everyone was so friendly and the animals were so cute. Thank you!”

“Grandpa Woody’s was amazing! The family was so hospitable and kind! My kids had a blast! We will definitely come back! Thank you!”
