“Whether you camp using Hipcamp, Harvest Hosts or a good old Atlas, be sure to look for Black Pearl Farms. Situated not far from 95 and 26, you'll feel like you're well or in the wilderness but can be back on the road within 30 minutes. With several RV sites, and more to come, a Yurt and soon to be 3 insulated geodesic dome cabins, you'll think you're in a high end camping resort. While really you're in the middle of a working berry farm. I stayed for a week in the winter so I didn't get to experience the farm in working order. But I can imagine looking out my window at rows and rows of blueberries and lavender. And just a mile or so down the country road is the upper Edisto River, ripe for kayaking and exploring. I can't say enough about the family running this place. They welcomed me on the road coming in, they checked on me during my stay. And they're building the place on their own. I appreciate hard work especially when it creates a place that's going to be a gem to visit, not that it isn't already! So, if your heading north or south, or even east or west, look for Black Pearl Farms in South Carolina. You'll be glad you did.”

“We had such a great stay at Black Pearl Farms through Harvest Hosts! The property is beautiful — a 160-acre working farm with plenty to explore. We had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and took time to show us different parts of the farm and share his future plans for the property. We also met some other wonderful Harvest Host families during our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was being able to purchase fresh berries, tomatoes, sourdough, and honey right from the farm. Overall, this was a peaceful, unique, and memorable stop. We’re so glad we stayed and would definitely recommend Black Pearl Farms to other Harvest Hosts travelers!”

“I can't say enough about how great Mike, Meghan, their family and their farm is. We stayed there as a harvest host on our way to Florida. Honestly, I liked being there better than Florida. Mike is an amazing host. Such great products and the blueberries made some wicked good pancakes! Our Florida vacation was cut short due to a family emergency, it took us all day to get the campsite picked up and packed. We messaged Mike and asked if we could stay again but we would be getting in late. He welcomed us back with open arms. Thanks to him we were able to make it home the next day. Again I can't say enough on how great they are and how awesome their place is. Will definitely be back.”

“What a beautiful place to camp and have a wonderful peaceful time. The hosts are amazing and will help you with whatever your needs or questions about the campsite are. The yurts are super comfortable and beautifully set up. We will be back! Also, if your just driving in the area -stop by to check out their farm and country store. Get fresh eggs, blueberries, honey etc... Great stop along your adventure.”

“One of the best farm camping experiences I’ve had to date. They have an amazing farm house open 24 hours to grab anything you need. The owners are responsive to any questions you have. They are kind and good people. There’s also an amazing wood fired sauna nestled into the trees that I wouldn’t pass up. Great place!”

“Beautiful, peaceful place; entertaining ducks; friendly and helpful people; interesting products for sale. We love the vanilla infused honey and the lavender spray get lots of use in our bathroom;) We went for a nice walk to the river until the mosquitoes chased us away.”

“Organic blueberries and black berries. RV overnight there. The owner, Mike, is a wonderful person and keeps improving his farm. Check it out”
