What you can pick
In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for North Carolina, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Nothing but an opportunity! This is what America is about! Own your land, grow your crops, and raise a family! Even if the family is a cluster of beautiful cannabis trees! This farm is your next event space! I see live music food trucks and many more events coming to this farm! Cannabis therapy camping retreats? Veteran recovery farm? Who wants to go to a winery when you can go to a hemp farm? Fresh flowers everywhere! The next step is to get a gravel parking lot to hold the 1,000s of people we will be getting here. Let’s talk about hosting a 4/20 festival and having local vendors and entertainers come out. I’ll be back this fall to get a cup of CBD tea and sit by the fire! Thank you for the hospitality! Great people! Talk soon.”

“We attended the Spring Fling on May 22nd. Very well organized, friendly vendors , cool local handmade jewelry, local delicious honey from Neck Road Farms , fresh delicious eggs ! The hemp products were very well received . So much fun being outside enjoying the beauty of the farm! The food truck serving tacos were the best we have eaten! Parking was easy thanks to well attended parking attendants and motorized carts available if needed ! Plenty of water since it was hot and pet friendly!! Bounce house was a big hit! Great location close to Charlotte since we had a gas shortage recently!! Thank you for providing something so special to enjoy !! Congratulations ! Family friendly! When is the next one?? Can’t wait”

“Finally stopped here yesterday and am so glad I did. Such a beautiful place and very knowledgeable owners. I have been dealing with significant shoulder pain for months and wanted to try a topical CBD since OTC traditional medications have not been very effective. Thry explained thoroughly what was in the products, how it was made and allowed me to try the salve and gel to see which was better for me. My shoulder is feeling sooooo much better after a few applications of the massage gel. Looking forward to going back again. Highly recommend!”

“I LOVE Blackberry Ridge Farm and all of their products but my 3 favorite have to be the tea, the salve, and the lip balm. The tea is the perfect way to relax before bed. The salve is the best product I have found for my sore feet and for my fiancé’s arthritis in his hands. The lip balm is amazing and keeps my lips feeling smooth, soft and hydrated during this dry time of year. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing business.”

“We enjoyed ALL HEMPERS EVE with our granddaughter who is 5. Lots of vendors, a selfie photo space that was one of the best I’ve seen, a fire pit with seating, food trucks. All-around great time and lots to do. Looking forward to next year! (Side note: everyone with antisocial dogs should just stay home, this is not the event for dogs that don’t want to be touched or meet other dogs)”

“So I have been using CBD for my family members Autism. 9 out of 10 times it helps regulate emotions! I am so grateful that this country is starting to use natural medicine in order to avoid some serious psychological effects of pharmaceutical options. I am thankful that Blackberry Ridge has such transparency, and answers ant questions we may have!”
