What visitors say

“Blackstone Farm is the best place in Lexington and surrounding counties for your horses’ shipping and boarding needs. It is nestled along the Elkhorn Creek with rolling fields and paddocks of emerald green grass, and conveniently located behind the iconic Keeneland Racetrack. Steve and Jimmy are an absolute pleasure to work with and will go out of their way to facilitate you and your horses needs. They have long lasting relationships with local and national shipping companies, vets and farriers to ensure that your precious loved ones are in the best possible care! My thoroughbred mare lives there now and I highly recommend them for overnights, layups and boarding!!”

“We’ve used their layover stalls for over a decade. They always follow instructions. I love that they have small grass paddocks where we can allow our traveling horses an opportunity to stretch their legs, roll and get a few mouthfuls of bluegrass. They have always made us feel welcomed. We often refer our friends to their farm for layups. Very reasonable prices for what get. Safe, workmanlike, shed row style barn with solid walls between stalls. Fresh air.”

“Disclaimer, owned by a relative... But this quiet setting is a great place to stable your horse(s) during Keeneland meets or the sales... or any other time. Close, quiet, and beautiful. Perfect for those wanting a great locale to stable a horse for Keeneland goings on!”

“Fabulous! 2nd time I’ve been here. So quiet for all of our horses coming off the road. Thank you! Kelli Hudson- Penstock Farms Equine Transport”
