Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We went on a Saturday afternoon in October. So it was really busy, but we didn't have to wait long in lines for things. We picked our own apples and pumpkins. There is a cafe outside where you can get Cider and cider slushies as well as other food items. There's also a really good corn maze that you can get lost in for a while. There is a lot of parking, and it's free, but it fills up and it can be a few minutes before you find a spot.”

“Beautiful day visiting the sunflower maize& picking apples. The store offers so many choices of bbq sauce, preserves, bakery goods, soup mixes , mixes for dips & household items. Great , reasonable prices! Vincent at the apple picking station was so helpful! So enjoyed the little goats jumping about! Now weekends have so much more for kids & I believe even a little eatery! Such a beautiful day -weather & experience!”

“Definitely the spot for family fun! They have a really cool play area, a nice country style store on the inside and the BEST peaches I’ve ever had! 10/10 recommend! For 2 adults we paid $9 for the PYO ( pick your own ) and they have a wagon that brings you to the field! The staff were all nice and answered every question! Especially the tractor driver and the lady in the field! She is such a sweet heart.”

“Beautiful outdoor play area for children of all ages. Lots of picnic tables under the canopies. Cute cafe/ice cream shop also. Very open and organized shop with lots of adorable items. You can tell they really put a lot of effort into this place and it’s worth the trip from wherever you may be coming from. Would come again!”

“I have been taking my children for years and I have never had any complaints. However, today was the reception, two of the workers were upset, I don't know if with the work they were doing or not, but they were very contemptuous with the children. I think that to work with children they need to be more empathetic.”

“We went pumpkin and apple picking and had a blast! There are activities for kids of all ages, food and snacks, and a great gift shop. The employees were helpful and polite, the grounds and bathrooms were clean, and the prices were not outrageous. We will definitely be back!”

“Wonderful employees and a wonderful time. The strawberries were so sweet and delicious and the experience withe my daughter was just as good. Definitely a wallet and family friendly activity!!!”

“It's truly not like it use to be. Back when it was a Mom and Pop Orchard, it was soooo much better. The staff were amazing, prices were affordable and just felt welcoming. We went yesterday. Of the 6 staff members we dealt with, all were just rude or nasty with the exception of one. The guy that was running the slide was just down right rude when my child was going up. The kitchen people just seemed like they didn't want to be there and I was such an inconvenience to them. Truly miss when it belonged to the Boyd's and more than likely won't be back.”
