“Saskia is knowledgeable and friendly. When I am out her way I check in to see what she has for sell. We both raise poultry of differing kinds and I love getting new quails from her to keep my covey bloodlines strong. I saw a negative review someone had a out dirty water... thank goodness they didn't see the geese waterer at my house! Ducks and geese use water to clean out their nars (nostrils) and crisp clear water turns murky the first time they stick their heads in fresh water. I went to a local poultry farm a few weeks back and we walked into one of his chicken tractors and found a young rooster dead, let's just say the little guy didnt make the cut with the rest of the flock. That didn't make me blame the owner or give him a negative review because it happens and he was clearly distressed over the loss of the little guy. Farms are not tidy pristine rolling green acres. They are bare spots of grass, poop, holes in the dirt for wallowing, scattered fed and bedding to name a few things. The last time I saw Saskia she was head to toe sweat pushing around a wheel barrow full of muck. She works hard and loves talking about her small farm. Also her goats are awesome.”

“I had the absolute joy of visiting Blue House Farm to pick up six little chicks to raise—and it was pure delight from start to finish. The owner was so warm and welcoming. Off in the distance, a pair of geese waddled by like Abigail and Amelia Gabble from The Aristocats—I half expected them to start chatting with British accents! A curious goat had his front hooves propped up on the fence, watching us load the chicks into the transport box like he was supervising the whole operation. The entire place felt peaceful, whimsical, and full of heart. If you ever get the chance to visit, don’t miss it!”
