A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We had a great time. I would say this place is open as long as there is light. You pick the blueberries and weigh them yourself. There is an honor box where you put your money. Make sure you bring $1’s with you. It was $4/lb on July 2024 and well worth it. The blueberries melt in your mouth. We went one day and the family before us had picked 6 lbs. There were plenty left but none ripe. We went back two days later and there were tons ripe for the picking and we got one pound for $4.00. DELICIOUS and that’s why I say it’s open all day because it’s completely self service. Fun for all!!!! Dawn to dusk! One of Spruce Pine’s hidden treasures!!!!!!”

“Make sure to look out for the sign that points to the U-Pick area! Definitely worth it. It was very calm when we arrived first thing in the morning and we had the whole place to ourselves. The blueberries are great, they have the sweetness while majoring the natural flavor unlike some of the typical retail berries that have one or the other. The process was straight forward. Another plus: my dog had a great time.”

“sweet honor farm with nice clear paths between bushes! Host gave us easy instructions and it was so much fun!”

“Delicious Upick Blueberries! Easy park, pick, pay and eat!!”
