Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in TX.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.

“This place is awesome! Great family outing with just enough to entertain the kids but it doesn't feel overwhelming like many family activities...great spots to sit afterwards and enjoy the peacefulness yet fun to have music playing while picking the berries. Kids loved the sandbox and the store is awesome, too. We picked up some cherry bbq sauce (after we sampled) and the blueberry ice cream is the best I've had in my life...seriously might drive here on a Sunday with the kids just for the ice cream. Prices are very fair and for less than $100 we got a great family adventure day. And do not forget the blueberry donuts---best in the Tyler area by far! Thank you Blueberry Hill! I was sad to see the place is for sale so I hope the new owners keep everything the same! Love this place in ETX.”

“We visited for second consecutive year and will keep on visiting for the following years as well. Very welcoming helpful staff. A healthy and interesting summer activity for my family. My kids love to compete each other in picking the best and most berries and the owner shares the location for good bushes as well by color markers (we found the pink ribbons tied to the rows with ready to pick berries. A good advice is to have fun picking up the berries but then try to purchase the ones picked by the farmers because they are experts. Secondly try to be here as early as possible in the morning to avoid summer heat.”

“Went here not even 2 months ago and really enjoyed it with the family! We had fun picking the blueberries. We even had blueberry ice cream, and I also got some blueberry syrup as well. Great day! I WILL SAY THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE OPEN BEFORE GOING. I believe their website says that it is temporarily closed due to it probably not being blueberry picking season right now. We were there just under 2 months ago. I would recommend getting there right when they open, if they are open, and make sure to check the website before getting in the car. 😎✌️❤️”

“We will be coming back every weekend until the season is over or until we buy all the blueberries! We have 5 kids that can eat their weight in blueberries, so making them pick their own is very rewarding. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean store. Best of all, the blueberries we picked are the best we've ever had! Made blueberry pancakes for dinner and baking some blueberry muffins for tomorrow.”

“My husband and I went here on a date to pick blackberries and it was so much fun! It was fun and they even had homemade pie and homemade blueberry lemonade to refresh after you fill up your basket. Everything was delicious. We met Chuck and Lisa and they were over the top nice. When you think southern hospitality, this place is it! We will definitely be back soon”
