Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“EXCELLENT quality of food and farmers. The blueberries are definitely thrilling-they are massive and very good. You could probably make a blueberry sandwich with the size of them! Peaches are so juicy and just the right amount of sweet. Can’t go wrong with any of their berries! My family loved the farm, the food, and the farmers. Heard they’ll have apples in the fall. Farmer Wil and his wife are so kind. Is there anything better than a family owned local farm?!”

“My porch is well-decorated with self-picked pumpkins, my kitchen is rich with the aroma of muscadines, and 3 bags of apples are waiting to be sliced up for pies! We had a great visit this morning to find all these things at BTF! It's such a beautiful property that even if we didn't come home with what we wanted, it STILL would have been worth the visit! Thanks Will and family!”

“We have been going for years. Love the family, the setup, the quality of fruit and flowers, everything. Do not miss this place! The new owners are super friendly, and the berries are so amazing! I have not found a berry picking opportunity like this anywhere nearby.”

“Wonderful place to visit. Picked apples with my older children and we all enjoyed the experience. Learned a lot from the farmer about his crops. Can always appreciate the knowledge! Many varieties of apples and fair prices. Will do again!”

“A well run, family friendly u-pick farm! They guide folks to pick according to row numbers to make sure everyone gets a fair amount. The blackberries were so delicious!”

“Tons of sweet fresh blueberries and blackberries. Me and my family enjoyed our first experience. Will definitely be back when apples are ready 😋”

“Had a great Time! My great niece loves blueberrys. Had to take her to her first blueberry picking.”

“Best Berry Farm I have been to in a while! Friendliest family owned farm you could visit.”
