A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Hot summer day beautiful sky and thoughts of juicy summer peaches. Destination Braces orchard. Hadn't been there in while, but pulling up to the store you could see the business of growing fruit was alive and well. Attendants were pleasant and efficient. Fruit like peaches ready to eat. Both white and yellow provided. Baked goods top notch. Great place get there when you can you won't regret it. If you have restrictions there more than willing to offer assistance and bring your purchase too the car. Nice touch. 10/07/25 After some Starbucks food the wife and I headed to Braces for farm fresh fruit and pastries. Apples, purple plumbs, chocolate chip cookies, blueberry danish, chocolate peanut butter fudge and of course Apple cider. Oh and the creme dela creme Apple cider donuts. We then stopped at Dymonds stand, where we shared a Braces cider donut with Lenore who operates the Dymond stand. She was reluctant at first to accept the doughnut, but she accepted our small gift, because it was a favorite treat of her husband Dave, who passed away recently. For the moment Dave was there with her enjoying the doughnut. This was a nice spiritual moment shared by strangers in midst of an apple orchard. Thank you Lord for this exchange. The cardinal signifies spiritual bliss rest in peace Dave , Linoir enjoy your doughnut I'm sure Dave is happy for you.”

“When my son came home with Brace's cider, he said I had to try it. Not being a fan of cider unless it has booze in it or is mulled, I made a face. Then it dawned on me... He wouldn't drink cider with someone else's mouth, so if HE said it was good it had to be good! I am now a fan of cider. They don't screw it up by adding preservatives and sugar. It's just seven kinds of apples I believe they told me. Absolutely the best cider I've ever had and I come from Apple Country in Upstate New York! I actually worked at an orchard and Brace's is the best cider I've ever had. You have to try their donuts as well. Don't go home with less than a dozen or you'll be sorry. Ron took us on the tractor ride up to the top of the hill and the view is spectacular. That's definitely a must do if you come here.”

“Friendly staff, always smells amazing with all the fresh baked goods. It has become a weekly stop in route to a client I have in Dallas. Absolutely in love with there selection of fruit breads, and if you've ever had one of there cider donuts still warm from the oven then you know that no other donut can compare. Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Being that its an orchard i feem like i should also mention they have a very good variety of apples, so be it baking, juicing, cider, or simply just to enjoy the snap of a freshly picked apple Braces is a place I would definitely go out of my way to check out if it wasn't already In route for me. Highly recommend”

“Nice locally family owned orchard. We went during the sunflower field season, but they have their main barn open where they sell various things such as jelly, jams, lollipops, apple Danishs, pies, and soooo much more. You should check it out if you have some free time. Good place to take the family for some summer or fall photo shoots. 📸 If you go to the orchard and there making them...get yourself some apple cider donuts 🍩. You can thank me later. 😁”

“Brace yourself for this interview! We met with Paul Brace to learn more about Brace's Orchard. The Brace's name has been a staple in our area offering many great items. We included a video with Logan to checkout all the delicious items available at their store in the Back Mountain which is open all year round. It's hard to recommend one item since they are all so good but the donuts and the apple cider are amazing.”
