Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Idaho.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Burley Straw Maze & Pumpkin Patch is a must-visit every fall. This place has become a tradition for a lot of locals and it’s easy to see why. From the moment you pull in, it feels welcoming and laid-back, not overcrowded or overly commercial. The straw maze is big, well thought out, and fun for all ages. Kids stay entertained and adults end up just as invested in finding their way through. The pumpkin patch has a great selection, with pumpkins of every size and shape, and plenty of space to wander around without feeling rushed. It’s also a great spot for photos, especially later in the afternoon when the light hits just right. What really makes this place special is the overall vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful, the grounds are kept clean, and everything runs smoothly. It feels like a place run by people who care about the community and want families to have a good time. This is the kind of spot that makes fall feel like fall. Perfect for families, groups, or anyone wanting a classic seasonal outing. Always worth the trip and easy to recommend.”

“The lights maze is one of our family favorites (and so is it at Halloween)! So much so, we drive TWO hours to enjoy it! The have a little mistletoe spot, with long beautiful hanging lights, the have two slides for all ages a huge one and a medium and two small ones! They have food/snacks and amazing hot Cocoa! They are decently priced for all the things they have inside! They also have "find it" check list for fun for inside the maze! And at Halloween it's just the same fun but instead of wild lights and charming decorations, it's Spookactular and Scary! I'd suggest going to both Halloween and Christmas for any and everyone!!”

“A bit spendy but totally worth it. I use a walker and it was actually pretty easy to get around. The lady at the counter was amazing. The slide I shouldn't have done because of my back being in a brace but was worth the pain. The zipline was fun for my kids and the swing set up was way to much fun for all of us. Will probably go again next year but for Halloween. Only bad thing was some jerk parked in the handicap (which I have to use a walker) so shame on him for parking there. So that doesn't reflect on this place and the lady handled it at the counter. 100% great service and cant wait to be back.”

“Went to "Lost in Christmas" event at the Burley Straw Maze. Beautiful lights. So much to see and do there. I love the nativity at the end of the straw maze. We loved the light displays. We got a little lost in there but the Grinch helped us out. Fun zipline and slides for the kids. Warning though: it is a crowded and overstimulating experience!”

Burgers, fries, ice cream, suckers, Carmel apples, and plenty more! The pumpkin patch was fun! A lot of pumpkins to choose from for cheap! We will definitely be back!”

“Love it, and it was well done, but they should add more mats by the big slide. My niece fell and got a nice bruise on her chin. But it was still very fun! (My Nephew wanted me to take pictures of him)”

“Visited for animal days. Was not maintained well. I wasn't nor alot of other people were not aware that you need the burlap sack to use the slides there were no sacks as you get on the slide they are at the exit of the slide making it difficult to know they were needed. My daughter got her skin blistered by using the slide also the other rides just didn't feel safe. The jumping pad was blazing hot dead fish floating in the water and still allowing children to touch them. The duck race had no water. The animals were biting kids and the lady with the dauchshund dogs was yelling at all the kids for running around her dogs. 10 dollars for a great value burger patty that was still pink in the middle outrages. Sadly I have been wanting to go to animal days for years now just never had the time to do it until today and this will be my last time to attend animal days.”
