Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“My 4 children and I went today to Burwinkel farm today Saturday 9/24! I can’t say enough good things! My son is on a oxygen tank and I honestly expected NOT to be able to partake in the hay ride because of needing to fit our wagon to fit his medical supplies BUT they said we could absolutely get on and just wanted to make it easy on us so we could all participate and be safe. They carried the wagon easily onto the the hayride trailer and made it so I could also enjoy it with my son as well. They were so incredibly sweet and one of the employees that helped us there spoke to me about how his daughter had medical issues too and he was happy to help us to have a great day together. I can’t explain how much fun we had and there was so much to do! Thank you Burwinkel Farm for giving us such an amazing day and after accommodating my family to be able to all enjoy, meant the world to us! I wish I got the employee name that was so good to us but THANK YOU for having wonderful people like that!!!”

“We took our 2 year old granddaughter and had a great time. Not too sure her 11 year old ADHD brother wouldn't have been bored. The hayride was a nice distance. The first half of the ride takes you to the middle of a field with a beautiful sunflower maze, a corn maze,, and pumpkin patch. With the price of admissions you get to pick a sunflower and small pumpkin as well as other things. Oh, at that point, they had a stand with wine, drinks, and snacks. Being family minded, there was a port-o-let there. Much needed. The hayride picked us back up to the main area across the street.”

“Admission was $7 each person for the hayride, the end of which you're stuck at a massive pumpkin patch (one per person), big corn maze, sunflower paths, big beautiful sky. At the entrance there's a corn pit babies will love, a goat, baby maze, bigger pumpkins, another corn maze if you really hate yourself, places for pictures.”

“A lovely little farm with beautiful sunflowers still in bloom this first week of November. They are closed for the season but allowed us to look around. The market is still open and they have many varieties of apples and gorgeous pumpkins and gourds!”

“We had a great experience at the pumpkin patch, although recent rains did transform the walk through the sunflowers into a muddy mess. We had fun with the mazes. Our daughter enjoyed lying down in the cornseeds.”

“Lots of mazes and other things to do. If you get the full ticket, only $12, it also includes a hayride, a small pumpkin and a sunflower.”

“What a great place to stop by and grab some fruits and vegetables. It is so convienient since it is a drive up stand on the sides of the road. They also have lots of jams, salsas and other items. If can be a little pricey. This is one of my favorite places during the Fall. They have lots of wonderful things to do and buy. There is a huge corn field/sunflower field across the street and the do wagon rides through them during certain times of the year.”
