What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Ohio, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We love picking the biggest & best blackberries at Indian Springs. Reservation spots do fill up quickly, but the actually picking is easy. There are plenty of berries, clean rows & the owners are so nice. We always pick up their honey too. We’ve come for years with our kids and look forward to these blackberries each summer.”
