“Such a great activity for the family, kids, or even by yourself! I came because I find the process relaxing and therapeutic. I paid by weight and was charged about $7 for what's pictured. Will become an annual family tradition for us. Make sure to check website because their hours and availability change daily. Definitely better to make this a spontaneous outing so no one's disappointed if weather forces you to cancel.”

“Delicious tasty strawberries abound at this Pick Your Own strawberry farm. Pre-picked available by calling ahead. Cost $35 per flat or $2.20 lb. Bottled water available. Separate parking area in gravel section. Probably can get a wheelchair near the field to watch but there's no shade and strawberry fields have straw walking paths and you wouldn't be able to get wheelchair in between rows.”

“Great strawberry picking in the Madison area. Growing up berry picking in Wisconsin it was an annual tradition I looked forward to, so getting to bring my kids to the farm has been a delight. It can get busy, so best to go early and pay attention to their posts, but there’s generally been enough berries to make for a successful flat picking experience.”

“Such a lovely and productive spot. The family I used to nanny for introduced me to this farm, I’ve loved it and have never looked back. Love making/canning different preserves, jams from my haul here. Awesome staff, love hearing their favorite recipes. I’ve introduced my friends to this gem and will continue to do so!”

“Lots of ripe berries and friendly staff. We like paying $35 for a box that you can fill as much as you want, no weighing or waiting in line when it is time to go. The kiddos loved to pick and eat the juicy berries. This was our second year picking at Carandale and we will be back next year!”

“Super friendly and strawberries were fantastic. Also gave my 5 yr old granddaughter her own container for free and told her to fill it and eat strawberries along the way. Super fun experience!”

“Loved the experience here. Yummy strawberries too. Didn’t feel too crowded and got our own lane to pick from.”

“We went there Friday, June 12, 2026 to pick up some strawberries 🍓 since we saw all the great reviews. Place was nice as well as the people working there. However, when we got home and tried them we were disappointed. There was very little strawberry taste and they were very watery. Maybe all the recent rain didn't help. Will try some other time and hope for better results.”
