“I absolutely loved this place! I am lactose intolerant and was so excited to see a non-dairy ice cream option at the dairy farm. Not only did they have an option, but it wasn’t just the traditional plain vanilla or chocolate flavor, they had a tropical fruit flavored ice cream, which was amazing. I made my family go back the second day just to get some. It was so delicious. We also did the dairy tour there, which was really neat to learn about how these jersey cows are milked. Overall, a really great experience and I highly recommend. They had a great playground in the back of the restaurant ice cream parlor that my kids loved.”

“We really enjoyed Chaney's! They have a really nice playground which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. We went in for lunch & was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. We had chicken tenders & fries. The chicken tenders weren't just like something you'd get in the freezer section at the store. They were more like what you'd make at home-tender, juicy & flavorful. Afterwards, we had the banana pudding ice cream. It was fantastic!”

“There is plenty of parking and on a hot summer day, walking into a very pleasantly cold place was refreshing and lots of tables. Great for young kids and very clean! My husband said he had "the best ice cream he's ever had." Ha! I have to agree. The ice cream is ruch and delicious. I had the blueberry cheesecake and he had the bourbon crunch in a waffle cone. Do yourself a favor and have one!”

“We have been coming to Chaneys barn for many years! It has expanded and it’s still really delicious. It’s a must stop if you’re in the area or if you have a family nearby and desire to get ice cream. It’s really great for families, as they have an outdoor playground that is a lot of fun and they have local items for sell in store! They also have short order foods like burgers and fries!”

“What a cool place!! We had a blast. The ice cream was exceptional (try the cookie butter kind)! The food was affordable and yummy. It was really cool to be able to actually see/pet the cows! The play space/park in the back was really fun too. Definitely recommend making a stop here!”

“The grandkids really liked the playground a lot. There were opportunities for adults to participate with the size of the slides and swing seats. The big back porch was a cooler place to sit on a rocking chair for this grandma and watch the family play. We enjoyed ice cream inside the air conditioning and we saw the big wagon of people unloading when we arrived. My only notes would be information was missing. The place is large, there are multiple cash registers, one for food, one for ice cream were obvious. There were two windows in the gift shop next to each other, one was food, but not sure what the 2nd window was for. Where did we get information for tickets for the wagon ride? Where is the bladder that the website talks about? I didn't see directional signs if there were any. We figured it out, but that communication could be improved.”

“Good ice cream, but food was disgusting. In general nice farm.”

“After 4 years in Bowling Green, whereby either perpetual car issues or my frail health posed tremendous challenges in terms of experiencing "life" - much less restaurants - it was "fun" to finally experience Chaney's Dairy Barn recently. As you can see from my photos, it's a fairly massive structure filled with all sorts of souvenirs, unique food items, dairy themed merchandise -- and oddly enough, some Boars Head products which seemed sorely out of place amidst so many unique offerings. After pursuing the menu, I chose a single scoop cup of Kentucky Whiskey ice cream that was infused with what appeared to be chocolate and some far too coarsely chopped vanilla wafers. Though the ice cream was exceptionally creamy, it was so sweet the only thing I could taste was sugar and the crudely prepped chunks of vanilla wafers -- so much so, I tossed it in the trash after a couple spoonfuls. And yes, I know this is an unpopular opinion; it's nonetheless my experience and somewhat of a disappointment to say the least.”
