What you can pick
In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for PA, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in PA.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“I had such a wonderful time at Cherry Hill Orchard in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! It’s the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day picking fresh fruit and exploring the orchard. I absolutely loved the peaches, apples, and plums. I also couldn’t resist their sand tart cookies, they’re amazing! “A favorite in the fall is full of goodness all year round. We stopped at the store on our way past & could've filled a shopping cart of items we wanted to try. Opted for a mixed bunch of apples, a couple jars of apple butter, blueberry preserves, pickled carrots and a few other things. All have been delicious! My wife got a cup of fresh hot spiced cider on our way out to ward off the chill. Always a great spot for kids in the fall with wagon rides and picking pumpkins in the field, but worth a stop anytime”

“Went to pick our own strawberries. Sign had blown down to direct us so we got a little bit confused but a lady at the main stand where the flowers are was so incredibly friendly and guided us where to go and what to do. Very simple procedure of paying the man and getting your containers and going to pick. They were so beautiful...gorgeous red and tasty!!!! Many very large. Definitely worth the trip.”

“I love this place. It’s a great place for family and friends. You can pick your own pumpkins, flowers and fruit. They have a wide selection of apples and the most delicious apple cider donuts. If you go on the hayride down to the orchard you get one complementary apple donut too. They also sell Joe’s Lemonade/Tea which I’m a big fan of. It’s a good place to make memories and take pictures”

Gave a coupon for an apple cider donut, so yum... try the Pineapple-Apple Cider... Delicious!!!! So glad I stopped and will definitely be back and will bring our family... looking forward to the different fruit seasons”

“We had a blast picking our own strawberries. We purchase a big size bucket and my little one enjoyed herself. Staff is super friendly. You can drive up to the strawberry location so you do not have to walk far. Landscape was very flat which is great for the elderly. We got free doughnuts which was a plus! Would highly recommend going.”

“I always have a blast when I come here with my friends 💚 You get a free donut when you pick your own fruit, and they're worth it. Nothing beats freshly picked fruits! Pumpkin picking here is also super fun! I've picked apples, peaches, cherries, pumpkins, and strawberries here now.”
