Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“They changed their location and it is far more accesible and spacious plus convenience factor of being very close to the zoo. Pumpkin prices depend on size and color variant, but the cost is very accesible. They have a hay ride wich is quite fun and chill especially for the little ones, or any age.”

“Cute lot. Everyone I spoke with was nice. From what I recall of the pricing when I was there today: 5 foot trees are $98, 6 foot trees are $125, 7 foot trees are $146 (I may be off slightly). Basically goes up $20 or so for every foot of height. They have measurement sticks around so you can measure the trees yourself or one of the staff can help you. The trees are expensive, but it's 2022 and it's San Francisco so I wasn't all that surprised. Minus one star because they didn't trim the branches near the base and I had to battle to cut through the lower branches for at least twenty minutes when I got home so that my tree would fit in the base. I will remember to check next time. Really great smelling candles at the check out. $13/each or 3 for $30. They brought my tree to my car and tied it to the roof. Overall a very nice experience.”

“They seem to hate customers. I used to go with my family as a child, but every time I’ve stopped in as an adult, I either get ignored or treated very rudely. I was completely ripped off for a dried out tree on Christmas Eve, no discount offered. I don’t know what they did with the rest of the trees, but there were a lot left with an hour to closing. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe it was just one bad employee, but the last time I tried to buy pumpkins, the woman at the register left us standing in line holding heavy pumpkins as she chatted with a couple. They’d been talking the entire time we were there, with no attempts to acknowledge or help us before resuming their conversation. I had been in a few days before, and couldn’t find a single employee, so I had come back, but that was the last straw for me. They also make it really difficult to know the prices. I would have been a repeat customer for the childhood nostalgia alone, if they could just manage the bare minimum of customer service, but I can’t and shouldn’t have to deal with their strange hostility towards customers. Try Delancey Street or Guardsmen for better customer service, and both are good causes as well.”
