Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Stopped in to pick some apples last week with the family. It's a beautiful orchard with stunning fall colors as a backdrop. Since it was later in the season, we were able to pick Mutsu apples, which we had never tried before. You typically don't see that variety in the stores so we were very excited to have the opportunity to try them. We were also thrilled to learn that they have an apiary on site. The honey is fantastic and reasonably priced. I really appreciate the glass jars for sustainable packaging. We definitely plan on making another trip out here next year.”

“This orchard is small, but this makes it great for families with small children so you don't have to walk too far. There were a number of great varieties too. The trees aren't too tall that even our youngest could participate last year all by herself at 3 years old. The apples were used in many different dishes. There was also a sweet pumpkin patch which is small but near the apple trees making it a great fall. If you are getting your apple haul for cooking in the fall this definitely a great place to go!”

“Our favorite place to go apple picking in the fall. Great apples (and lots of variety), lots of space to run around and beautiful views! If you walk out past the apple trees there are beautiful hilly fields with pumpkins growing in them. And you can buy apples, pumpkins, honey and preserves at the "market shed" at the entrance where they supply you with bags to fill with apples, if you want to pick your own. Great family fun!”

“We had an amazing time! Great variety of apples, and beautiful upick pumpkin patch next to some pretty sheep 🥰 great place to visit in 2020 - easy to stay socially distanced/good masking policy. Check their Facebook page to see which apples are available!”

“We have visited Clearview Orchards for apple picking every year since we moved to the area! It's a lovely orchard with a great selection of apple varieties. The owners are super friendly. My kids love the visit every year!”

“Great place for picking with family, we had good variety, not a ton of people and the sheep are handsome. Also good price on wildlife apples!”

“The best quality apples I have been visited. If you love great and delicious apples, Clearview orchards is a must place for you.”

“Smallish orchard, but very enjoyable picking. They do have quite a few varieties, best is Honey Crisp. You won't have to walk too far. $20 for a peck, a bit less for other varieties. They also have pumpkins and gourds”
