Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We've been coming late June for 4 years. It's an half day event our family always looks forward to. The other half of our day is making lemon blueberry cake and blueberry cheesecake ice cream. YUM Creekside farm is family owned and welcoming to families with a kids playground area. It's U'Pick blurriness but the sell other farm fresh vegetables”
“Had a blast picking fresh blueberries at this farm. The blueberries from the farm taste 10000x better than store bought. And you can’t beat the current price at $3/pound. There’s also free range chickens! I’ll definitely be back for more!!!”
