Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Florida.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Dave's pumpkin patch was great. With Halloween quickly approaching, I needed quality pumpkins at a reasonable price and Dave's came through! There are pumpkins ranging from handheld decorative pumpkins (got some for my kids) to ones that you could wrap your arms around. The prices are very fair and the pumpkins look like they were just picked off the vine from a pumpkin field. There are also bales of hay, flowers, and cornstalks available for sale as well. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for pumpkins this year.”

“We've been going to Dave's lot for both pumpkins and Christmas trees since we moved to Florida 4 years ago. Always great quality, fair pricing and friendly staff. We love the cut-out photo boards :) Also, Dave's support of local schools is unmatched in our community. From a PTA board member standpoint, we love working with Dave year after year.”

“My girlfriend and I were recently looking for pumpkins to carve this Halloween. A friend of ours referred us to Daves and were not disappointed. They had a great selection and the staff was very friendly. Also, there was a great photo op set up where we got to take some nice pictures. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.”

“For the first time in forever I stop by the day before Thanksgiving to buy some Poinsettias to decorate our tables for our gathering. We sent home each guest with one. Can you believe that I still have our decorating our kitchen? They were beautiful and great price. Definitely will return each year.”

“It was okay. There were a variety of pumpkins to choose from ranging in different size and colors, but no hands on activities for kids to participate in.”

“Nice setup, good selection of pumpkins. SUPER overpriced, especially when orange pumpkins bought from Dave's started to rot and mold the next day after we scooped the insides. (The much cheaper/bigger orange pumpkins we bought from Publix on the same day lasted way longer.)”

“Went because online had such good photos & reviews. Get there to find out it’s a really tiny place with pumpkins on display to buy but none to take photos with like most patches & then the photo area was tucked away & incredibly depressing. Also super not wheelchair or stroller friendly. They’re also charging $32 for the exact same pumpkin you can get for $10 at a major chain place. If you want a quick TINY pumpkin then go but if you go with family/kids or want a pumpkin bigger than an infants head- don’t waste your time like I did. And before the owner tries to say “we’re not a patch we’re a stand & advertise as such” the literal name of the business is “Dave’s pumpkin patch” so no you do have false advertising & are misleading people. Plus it’s not even a good stand!”

“This is not a pumpkin patch. This is a pumpkin stand. A sad one at that. Online it was made to seem like it was a little walk around area with plants and hay and pumpkins.. In reality it's a tent with sad looking pumpkins and next that an empty area that seems like it should have been something but was one bale of hay with small scarecrow doll on it. Oh and the background of the pic you would take on this sad little bale? Heavy equipment like a forklift and assorted junkyard fodder like refrigerators..... I guess if you just want to go pick out a pumpkin and leave this is for you. Don't expect anything but that lol.”
