Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I visited DeBuck's Family Farm for the first time during the Tulip Festival, and I was lucky to go on a beautiful sunny day. The tulips were in different stages some fully blooming, some about to bloom, and a few already fading but overall still very lovely. There are plenty of activities for everyone, but since I love flowers. I mostly spent my time taking pictures instead of joining the activities. Some photo spots required a bit of waiting, but it was definitely worth it. The ticket price wasn’t cheap, but I felt it was good value for the experience. Food and drinks were priced as expected for a tourist attraction. Parking was plentiful and convenient. I really enjoyed my visit and would love to come back again for other seasonal festivals.”

“We had such an amazing time at the DeBuck’s Tulip Festival! From the moment we arrived, you could feel how special this place is. The entire atmosphere is so welcoming and it truly feels like a genuine family run operation. Everything is thoughtfully put together and you can tell there is a lot of pride and care behind it. The staff is friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and it is the kind of place where families can slow down and just enjoy being together. It is not just a tulip festival, it is an experience that brings people together. You can really tell it is a family business by the attention to detail and the warm personal touch in everything they do. We will definitely be back next year 🌷and for the fall!”

“Have been here multiple times and always have a lot of fun. The tulips are absolutely stunning. They have a real lot this year compared to years past. Have perfect photo props for influencer, liked that there is more at the tulip fields (food, drinks, upgraded bathrooms etc). You take a tractor ride to flower fields The play area is also always so much fun. Everyone can be a kid again and who doesn't love a corn box! Be prepared for lots of walking everything is spread out which is nice it spreads the people put! The only downside is I have been here for multiple events at multiple different times and not everything is ever open.”

“My boyfriend and I literally had the most AMAZING experience here! Anyone who has a chance to go, DO IT! So much included with your entry ticket as well as decently priced tasty foods and refreshing drinks available for purchase. 100% recommend for families, couples, and solo travelers! You will not be disappointed!!”

“Debucks Family Farm was absolutely beautiful. All the tulips were in full bloom, creating a stunning and colorful atmosphere. There was a wide variety of tulip colors to enjoy, making it a wonderful place to visit. The farm also offers plenty of activities for children, making it a great destination for families.”

“Wonderful family friendly place. Absolutely gorgeous tulip festival. 🌷 ❤️ Great donuts too!”

“I visited there last Sunday and I’m not recommending anyone to go now because I think the season is already done. The tulips are dying and there are no more tulips left to take beautiful pictures of. Of course, I did take some nice pictures, but most of the flowers had already started dying. So if you’re going to see tulips, I recommend going as early as possible once the festival starts. I also see DeBuck’s place as not worth what they charge for tickets. They charge a $25 ticket fee, and if you want flowers, it’s $2 extra. They have a big piece of land but a very tiny area of flowers — not worth $25. They could do better. They have added some random activities like cart rides, a tractor ride around the field, soap bubbles, and other activities for kids. It’s a nice place and an enjoyable visit where you can take some nice pictures, but it’s not worth $25 per person. And now it’s too late to visit for this season anyway.”
