Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I have been picking here yearly for close to 20 years. It is an annual event I always look forward to. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful, directing you to the best trees. Now that my children are grown, I bring my 91 year old mother. She loves joining me and again, the staff is so helpful, bringing a chair out to our tree so she could sit and pick. One huge reason I pick her is that they wash and pit the cherries for me. I can process the cherries quickly and have a pie ready for supper”
“Our group of girls toured lower MI for fall colors from Chicago area. So happy we found this farm, with so many huge chestnuts! The lady is so sweet that she offered to take us for a ride, gave us tips on cooking the nuts. A very pleasant experience. Love it. Will make an annual trip from now on.”
“Got there late thought for sure I'd get small ones. But, there were soooo many chestnuts I could have showed up even later.”
“Fantastic place. Very kind folks. There are a lot of yummy cherries to eat/pick, lol. Sweet cherries and sour cherries.”
“So enjoyable picking here. Excellent fruit & excellent help!”
“We had a great time picking over 30 25lbs of tart cherries”
