Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We have come here every year for the last few years. It is a nice little piece of farmland and the family running it is friendly and helpful. I don't understand the complaints about pricing. Today we purchased 3 pumpkins which were a combined weight of about 40 lbs., and we paid $18. That's $6 per pumpkin, which, frankly, is not outrageous. Farmers need to make a living, too, people.”

“Have been coming to Denny’s to pick our own pumpkins for more than a decade. A great you-pick location for large pumpkins (orange and white) plus a selection of gourds, squash and pie pumpkins too. Located next to English Gardens and not far from Plymouth Orchards’ store - making this a great area to spend a fall morning or afternoon without having to go far from Plymouth or Canton!”

“Great family destination for the fall. Very rustic farm setting to pick your own pumpkins. Prices are fair at 50 cents per pound this season. Bring the kids, let them pull the wagon around, and have a blast exploring the fields, watching the cows, and the corn maze too. Cash payments but there is an atm on site.”

“Huge pumpkins for great prices. The woman who was working was such a delight. Wagons are provided and they also have small pie pumpkins, decorative pumpkins and gourds, and a little petting farm with a baby cow and goats that seem well loved. ATM on site which makes it easy for payment as well!”

“First time here.. Great place and very friendly!! Exactly what I was looking for when I was trying to find a “pumpkin patch” we did the corn maze too which was a blast!! Wonderful core memories made. We will be back every year.”

“Nice pumpkin patch with some seriously big pumpkins, but you’ll pay a pretty penny for them. Prices in 2023 were $0.55 per lb. For reference, an extra large pumpkin is ~35lbs, a large pumpkin is ~20lbs. I paid $22 for the two large pumpkins shown in my photo which is a bit overpriced imo. Staff is very friendly and offered to take a photo of us :) Fun to pick the pumpkins straight from the patch but it was a bit muddy.”

“With our usual pumpkin patch closed this year, we headed to Denny's expecting similar prices and a stocked field of pumpkins. We were happy with the pumpkin selection, but the prices are, quite frankly, ludicrous in comparison to our favorite patch and local grocers and walk up places. What would have cost us $60 elsewhere came to $95 here. We buy a lot of pumpkins. No discount. When I mentioned that they're crazy expensive comparatively, the woman weighing pumpkins said, "You don't have to buy them." I told my husband we should leave, but he didn't want to have to drive to another location, so we paid and left. Never again.”

“Our favorite place closed, so we stumbled across this place. Trust me, don't bother. They had a decent selection and we enjoyed the country atmosphere, but as been said, they are crazy expensive!! Normally we spend around $40. This year, for the same amount of pumpkins, we spent $79!! I reacted and got the "you don't have to buy them" snarky comment. Whatever... Complete rip off. Guess we will have to find yet another place. Ugh.”
