What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Maine, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maine.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“What an amazing experience that I'll never forget!! The owner, Doug, was super welcoming and funny and made our experience memorable. He let us pick blueberries even though the farm was technically closed, but check FB for his real time updates on picking because this was not an expectation for us or something we took for granted. Doug helped us navigate our car out of a tricky ditch and showed us the best places in the field to pick berries, walked us through how to pick the best ones, and even helped us fill our baskets when we were short on time. The berries we snacked on while we were there were delicious and there were so many different varieties of blueberries. We enjoyed playing with his beautiful dog Abby too!! You can tell he cares deeply about the farm and all those who visit it, and that he's happy to share his vast knowledge of planting. I highly recommend coming to visit!!”

“Best blueberry farm my husband and I have ever been too! Tons and tons of many varieties of blueberries and all equally delicious. Doug, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. He gave us a tour of the blueberries and taught us about the different varieties. Although we went during the rain, we had a blast. Meeting Abby (Doug’s dog) was an added bonus, she is a very sweet girl!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a summer activity!”

“Our whole family had a wonderful time on the farm. Doug is an incredible host - we truly appreciated his stories and his love for the land. The blueberries and everything else were absolutely amazing, and we made such special memories. We were lucky to pick some pink lemonade blueberries - sweet and beautifully pink! Abby is such a sweetheart and got along so well with our dog. Thank you for such a memorable experience!”

“Best blueberries around! I look forward to coming back year after year. So so delicious. My favorite ways to eat them are by the handful lol, in my mom's homeade blueberry cake or in a bowl full of cheerios and milk. Always nice to catch up with Doug and listen to his stories. He's done a great job with the farm. A big 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Doug was so generous and hospitable! It was worth going to the farm just to meet him! The blueberries were GREAT and the host was just as good! Highly recommend for families! You've made life-long friends in Alabama!”

“Amazing berry picking! The owner even offered us a tour, but unfortunately we had to go back to Arizona. I’m coming back next summah definitely!”

“Beautiful property and amazing blueberry picking. Douglas is extremely kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!”

“Great place to pick. Nearby my home. Doug, the owner, is great. Picking was pretty easy.”
