Ellsworth Hill Orchard and Berry Farm

“The farm is really beautiful! It really is a hill, with a great view of the surrounding area at the top and a pond at the bottom. We even saw a few deer during our visit. The honey crisp apples are some of the best apples I've ever tasted. There is also a store across the street with cider (made on site--you can watch them make it if you come at the right time) and pre-picked fruit, pumpkins, baked goods, etc. The staff is really great.”

“Amazing apples of all varieties plus pumpkins. Awesome tractor pulled hayride thru the orchard. Staff are extremely friendly. We purchased a home made mixed berry pie which was amazing. Beautiful country ride in Ct. If you want a great fall time experience this is the place to go.”

“Our Harvest Host for the night. Lovely, private spot for the night. I picked some delicious blueberries for breakfast. Picked up white peaches and apples, too. Bought 3 delicious "Monk" jams.”

“Not a good farm to drive to, rather try Layman's Orchard,it's much better, this farm will cost you more and there is not that much to pick. The raspberries are really good.”

“Will not be returning. My wife, my two year old daughter and my 2 month old daughter and I came here a month ago for strawberries which was great. We got one bin and my toddler picked a bunch of strawberries. Today we returned and they changed their policy that everyone over a certain age who goes in has to buy a quart of berries for picking. They only take cash and we did not have enough cash for more than one quart, so the woman literally made my wife, who had no intentions of picking berries and had our infant in the baby carrier, stay back at the top of the hill while I took my two year old daughter in to get berries. We were literally the only people on this gigantic property and she forced my wife with the newborn to stay back. She would not even let her go down to take any photos of us. It felt really cold and impersonal, and unnecessary. Most definitely will never go back after that experience.”
