Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“This by far my favorite farm stand ever! Great people, great food - deliciously fresh, fun seasonal events. Fantastic local small business. Family owned, generational values you can feel when visiting the stand and talking with the owners who are straight up genuine people that care about their customers. We always make sure to stop in when in the area. Not only is the food fantastic, just being there is an experience in and of itself. A real local treasure in the community. Will post pictures another time.”

“This place is a hidden gem in Escondido. They sell pumpkins during Halloween time, Christmas trees during Christmas time, they have a Santa you can take free photos with, and they have a small coffee shop and sell things like fresh fruits, veggies, and honey year round. I love this place! They have really fair prices for trees and everything. Thank you Farm Stand!”

“Me and a group of NJROTC cadets visited this place while our bus stopped working, and the woman in the front of the register is very nice and welcoming to all of us, and their products are very good quality. I recommend trying their chips and trying one of the sourdough breads pictured. Overall, I recommend stopping by this place if you're in Escondido visiting.”

“I love this farm stand located conveniently off the 15 highway! I love their huge selection of local fruit including citrus, passion fruit, star fruit and strawberries! They also carry fresh sourdough, cheeses and seasonal items like chocolate dipped fruit!! Check them out and try all the samples!! Their $5 strawberries are the best! Hands down”

“The Farm Stand has a beautiful range of locally grown produce, honey, gluten free treats and soon will serve hot beverages and sell Christmas trees for the holiday season. What makes this place magical is Joanne and Arjo, a remarkably friendly, helpful and all around amazing team.”

“In addition to all the delicious fruits & vegetables, they have a beautiful selection of Christmas trees from Oregon. We got our tree last Sunday and love it!”
