Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Alabama.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“If you're looking for your next locale for camping, horse riding trails, and unforgettable farm-life adventures; look no further than Faye Whittemore Farms! I highly recommend checking out this place with its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The campground supports a variety of styles from primitive, to full hookup, even glampers like me who enjoy primitive but won't argue with an extension cord coming in! The horse trails offer peaceful and breathtaking wooded views but are also well maintained and, from what I understand, are being expanded upon. The staff are also exceptional and incredibly knowledgeable equine enthusiasts themselves, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout our experience. Plus they host several awesome events year-round so you can't go wrong at Faye Whittemore Farms!”

“Absolutely love this farm, the owners go above and beyond to make sure our visits are full of fun. The trails are beautiful and lots of fun to explore. Camping is great , we look forward to every visit we get out there. The kids love the pumpkin patch and spooky hayride.”

“My daughter had a great time spending her 9th Birthday weekend riding horses at Fay Whittemore Farms in Jasper, Alabama. The trails are awesome. There is even Camping available if needed. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely be back!”

“We had a ball this weekend October 27 thru 29. We camped, we rode horses, face painted. Danced with live band, saw the cool jeeps, trunk or treat. Got scared on the haunted hay ride. Tks to Nick Whittemore staff for helping up. Ms libby”

“I have camped here multiple times and have enjoyed every experience! The campsites are large and wooded so it feels very cozy. The farm is beautiful and the trails are just lovely. It’s so very peaceful here.”

“Love this place!! I have camped several times and always enjoyed it! The owner is great to do business with. Will definitely camp here again!!”

“Went last year worst pumpkin patch only reason I give a 2 star is the man at the petting zoo was wonderful with my grandkids. Only high light was the petting zoo. Will not waste my money will go to the one we went in 2022 it was wonderful The Great Pumpkin Patch. Had tons of things to do for kids and vendors to buy food and fall crafts.”

“This place is a nice property but need someone professional and with some common sense running the place!!! Do not let your loved one rent it for a wedding cause he does not give a crap about it being a special moment!!! The venue was suppose to be clean for wedding on Saturday ….went to decorate the night before and the place was nasty!! Floors hadn’t been swept tables all nasty shit in floor all that we had to clean ourselves…lights not working and he didn’t want to fix them cause he thought that he wouldn’t be able to find them and they would be too expensive(literally Xmas lights in nov. that can be bought anywhere) he finally bought some but wouldn’t put them up….we had to do that too in order to have lights…they chairs that were rented for outside wedding he said he would put out where the wedding was to be at and we could line them up the way we wanted them…..he refused to take them where he said he would claimed that was on us part of decorating which was bs!!! He is very unprofessional!!! He should not be running this place..To the venue host you should be ashamed of yourself to do someone the way you did especially for the money they paid….you need to let ur dad take back over or y’all’s family business will not last this is not how you run things and treat people!!!! So much more I could say but bottom line you owe the bride an apology and money back for what you done. Don’t make someone else daughter stress like this again in their big day!!!”
